Saying in article maybe if he fights on it's for money, can't see that myself he must of made at least couple a million a fight for many fights now...
I'm sure it's money, but also as sure that it's for notoriety and for giving himself a reason to get up in the morning.........it's difficult for an achiever like a world championship-level fighter to look at his bank account and simply say "Oh, well that looks good; guess I'm done then." It gives a man a sense of pride and accomplishment to bring home the kill from the hunt. It's not the money for money's sake.
he knows 2 things prison and boxing. I am sure he fears steering away from this path which changed his life. Sure it motivates him real good.
Hopkins has made a good little penny, and has invested in a steady stream of revenue in apartments, condos, etc. . . He's probably got another solid 10 million in the bank. Also, he'll always have a mid-level six figure paying job at Golden Boy Promotions. . PRobably for life. . . Not to mention, he'll be an ideal candidate for a color commentator should a slot open up. . . Networks would love to hvae his insight.
I don't know if that was necessarily an ass kicking. Unless your definition of ass kicking is pretty different from most peoples.
Hahaha Hopkins still can't walk the streets of Philly without little black boys walking up to him, and whispering in his ear "Joe Calzaghe. . . "
Doubt its for the money, he should be set for life with GB... Now he does leave behind a great legacy
