I'd love to see the cards of those who found seven rounds for Hopkins.

I think the primary point to be made here is that 15 people did NOT have Dawson clearly winning. That's Hopkins nut-hugging right there.

 

But I can slightly understand the draws.
If you're a huge b-hop fan, and score all the close rounds in his favour you can come up with a level score... You have to wear X shaped glasses, but hey :hey

 

Still...a draw? B-Hop didn't come close to earning a draw.

Sure, it isn't like Dawson was stamping his name on them with bold red ink or anything - but in most of the rounds (about ten or eleven of them) Hopkins literally accomplished nothing. It wasn't just one of his usual spoiling & low output affairs. It was a complete failure on his part to do anything effective while getting pin-balled around the ring by left hands to the body from Dawson...and having his barely present jab completely overshadowed by Dawson's right jab.

 

Only way you could score it for Hopkins was if you saw no more then 3 rounds.

 

115-113 Dawson. I pretty much gave B-Hop every round he could have gotten. No way he won this fight. Even a draw is a little out of the question.

 

Dawson won that fight going away I gave Hopkins 3 rounds at best.

 

I gave Dawson 9 rounds on my scorecard, only two of which I thought Hopkins could make a somewhat legitimate argument about winning. I am a fairly reasonable man and concede that somebody may have given those two rounds to Hopkins, which still has Dawson winning 7-5.

In no way can I see Hopkins winning that fight.
