Atlas says some dumb things at times but he has it spot on here. It takes a G like Atlas to come out and say these things like that

Not sure why you find the letter from the judge funny? If that letter came from Mayweather's camp it'd be plastered all over every media outlet known to man. That's about as official as it gets.

You talk of Manny taking the tests like Floyd isn't doing the same. I'm one of those who believes all championship bouts should have similar drug testing protocol so I have zero problem with the "demands". In my eyes that should have never been a road block and still reflects bad on Pacquiao.

After Floyd and Manny's last 3-4 bouts, I don't feel Manny deserves 50/50.

It's all perception for me, I guess.

 

But Terry, both were doing good before they hooked up with Atlas. Others like Elvir Muqui, Shannon Briggs, and Donny LaLonde did way better after splitting with Atlas. Povetkin was doing great in his career, since Atlas he has gone downhill. Simon Brown and Tyrone Trice were, according to Atlas, pair of guys with no heart,no potential. Both had classic fight of years against teach other, and their best success after dumping him. Trice was smart one, he said no more to Atlas on 3rd day, Simon Brown waited till after 2 nd fight.

 

I don't know if everyone is aware, Arum has been getting hammered since 1980 by media, boxing writers, and a lot of people. Yet he is still around, and thriving. Atlas is doing nothing new, just rehashing old stuff said 25 years ago by Michael Katz, Jerry Izenburg, and other boxing writers of past.

I'll tell you who really stood up to Arum, although if not for boxing media being entirely anti-Arum it would not have worked: The Petronelli's. They did something no one else ever did, no one has done since. They wanted Hagler to have title shot, did not want to sign with Arum, so they announced to media they were going to United States Attorney General to ask for charges ot be looked into against Arum. A bold move in boxing, a real one too. It worked, he gave Hagelr immediate shot agaisnt Antuofermo (Who had just won title after being around on top longer than Hagler) He gave Hagler another shot, and no charges were filed. No one else ever tried it after. I wonder if that is reason Petronelli's never had many big fighters after the success they had with Hagler? What they did was unheard of, and brave, they could have been blacklisted (and seem to have been to a degree in later years)

Going on a a broadcast and knocking Arum now is nothing, it's rehashing old news.

 

Here is article mentioning how Petronelli's went to United States senators and were going to have Arum investigated. That was ballsy move for boxing people. Funny thing is how close they got over the following years, and how generous Arum got with Hagler and them as both made money together, especially after Hearns fight. They went from enemies, to Arum eulogizing Petroneli in recent obituaries.

Your really not as dumb as this post makes you sound. Everyone knows that arena was bs. Just like arum wanting the fight in june. Pac's own man Ariza said pac never agreed to any type of extra testing. And did pac say he would fight Floyd for less then 50% only to go back on that when it was offered.

That ship is sinking buddy only people that don't see this situation for what it is are *******s and people that just hate Floyd like you.

 

IDK how many free passes pacquiao will end up getting in this situation, but it IS as much his fault as anybody else's, maybe more.... not to mention I strongly believe even when a financial agreement has been reached, he'll go back to his good ol' rantings about testing. Make no mistake, this fight hasn't happenned and maybe never will and it's only roideao's fault!! NOBODY ELSE!!!

 

Its 1 true statement by teddy, ofcourse there are a lot of reasons this is not the full picture.

One main thing i've said from the start - both fighters (including everyone else involved) will earn a lot more against other opponents leading to the super fight. by simply waiting it out and keeping the proposition of the superfight alive. They both in the public eye to fight each other, once it happens hype for both fighters (win or lose) will die down.
