I don't know...I used to think this fight would be fairly testy for a while, but some recent posts on this subject in this thread and others have made me rethink my original position.

If somehow George wins, it's either from one hellacious shot or grinding Tyson down. That's how I see it.

George didn't have the handspeed to put them together on a fighter of Tyson's caliber (And yes, I know he wasn't the same defensively as before) and his cross-armed defence meant that he had zero opportunities to counterpunch. It was purely a defensive posture.

So that's why I think if he wins it's from one big shot. In all likelihood, the chances are very, very small of that happening.

Could he grind Tyson down? He could walk Mike down and use that big 'ol weight of his to put Tyson on the back foot...it's not an unimaginable scenario. But then, he still has to land his shots, and certainly he's going to weather some serious leather in return.

Roughly, I'd give George a 20% chance of winning. Realistically, I don't know if he deserves better.

20% chance of knocking out a fresh tyson with one big shot makes no sense tyson is not a glass chin lightheavyweight

mike tyson had an iron caste chin no matter what his manny haters say

tyson was stopped when taking a long beating when he lost his d'amato headmovement defense and when he lost his 12 round
    stamina

with kevin rooney tyson never would of being stopped if he retried before 1994ish

    Agreed!

Holyfield was the worst matchup for Foreman- a boxer that moved laterally. Add to that that Foreman didn't cut off the ring like he did against Ali. He just followed Holyfield the entire fight.

Would he have beaten Tyson? It's an unknown, but he would have had a better chance.

    Easy fight, easy night.

    For George Foreman.

Tyson wouldnt hurt him one time. Ofcourse its hard to hurt a guy when your backing up and since Tyson had no reverse gear it pretty much means he`s dead meat.

Foreman would put tiretracks on Tyson`s forehead.

Tyson would bludgeon Foreman and put trademarks around his ****in eyes. The fight would be titled "Assassination day." Tyson KO 4 Foreman.

By `91 Tyson wasnt moving his head much and he wasnt throwing combinations.

So Foreman`s jab is going to close his eye by the mid rounds. Tyson would stiffen up like he always did when he started to take punishment, throw one punch at a time and bite his gloves. Mike Tyson back on his heels hoping to land a lucky shot.

The only intrigue here is what row Mike Tyson would land when Big George unleashes his uppercut. Could be that sneaky left uppercut or the atom bomb right uppercuts.

Not sure but Tyson goes at least 5 rows back.

In my opinion, Tyson easily slips foremans jab if they fought in 1991....

It been mentioned before, but i also believe Tyson turns boxer for this fight, rather then brawling... Tommy ****ing morrison got on his bike and was able to easily outpoint comeback foreman, & mikes light years ahead of the duke in terms of abiltiy.....Tyson would be able to stick and move like big george's feet were set in concrete...

    Just my opinion

So the answer is yes. Good to know.

Tyson fans always give him too much credit.

Not sure if he actually would lose to Foreman, but he certainly isn't taking him out in 2 rounds or punching holes in him.
