Good points ... Keep in mind that in corrective exercise training though, you actually want to perform static stretching immediately after inhibting muscles via self myofascial release.. But yes, in terms of regular training, dynamic stretching is the preferred warm up
Footballer John Barnes was said to never stretch or warm up, he took a warm bath and massages to get his muscles relaxed before games. He was almost never injured. Almost. Or it depends, let's say it's relative. However, if we go with relative it could be fair to say that he was injured quite a lot. Perhaps more than any other player on the English team. Ever!? Maybe he would have benefited more from the grease down.
People who say stretching are not needed are complete ******s. Saying that Mayweather has been an athlete all of his life, his body is used to doing these sort of stuff. Remember when you were a kid and you could run for like days and days and you wouldn't cramp at all, thats probably what he's like, because usually the average person will stop exercising running around as much etc. Athletes who live clean lives from earlier ages can probably compensate for not stretching. Luckily.
What, they were probably talking about you. No, forgive me people, I just noticed what I posted. I was on some serious pain meds that day. I am detoxing from all of the pain meds now. Kidney stones are the worse.
