    The holy trilogy :thumbsup

  3. The Dr. Roach **** did my ****ing head in.

Hatton will be on Youtube, there's potential for a bit of ad revenue there, if they keep the production low budget they can do OK with that for now.

They won't pay the money Hatton will want, or need to run his typical 'Sky' cards.

Hattons never put on Theopane. Offered him loads of money per fight then never put him on a show. I think they have to look at the product they put out before complaining. After a promising start they went down the old route and were no different from w.a.r.r.e.n.
I think they were given enough chance to prove themselves.
Although I'd want more Sky boxing dates I don't think Hattons deserved them.
On another point, they insisted on using really expensive ring rigging and lighting systems - at least initially - cost them shitloads more than others used that could have been better spent on improving fight quality.

Because Hatton hasn't got anyone as marketable as Fury, or Eubank Jr for that matter....Channel 5 signed Fury and not boxing per se.

To be fair they showed Galahad v Booth, so I don't think they're against looking to build new names. It got pretty good viewing figures too iirc so I don't think they'll have been upset.

In what way? Ricky Hattons not fighting.....People are hardly going to tune in to watch that lump lolling at ringside

What self respcting Olympian with big ideas is going to sign for an outfit with no TV deal, its a chicken and egg situation. Channel 5 have signed Fat Mick and his crew and as far as I can see that will be that. I don't think that Channel 5 are looking to build boxing

There are so many reasons, Hatton makes sense for Channel 5:

    1. The Hatton name - the same as they're using the Eubank name. They could advertise it as "we've signed Ricky Hatton". Hell, even get Magic Matt on the opener!
    2. World titles - In Martin Murray they have a very good chance of delivering a world title fight which, let's be honest Fury is a little while away. The Quigg/Munroe winner should challenge for the full WBA too.
    3. Marketability - Munroe: "Boxing Binman"; Murray: "Reformed Character" use the old 'done time, has changed, can fight' line; Quigg: "Young, undefeated" Hatton could go on about how he is the 'next Ricky Hatton' etc.

We could well see him being given a trial shot, or even co-promoting a Fury v Towers fight and see how it goes.

If he goes to C5 with a world title fight, they'd gobble it up straight away!

The model is there, excellent main event, **** undercard.
