North Carolinian here, anyone know of any bars in the Triangle that are showing Saturday's fight? Believe it or not, I do not own a television atsch (which is why I spend so much time here) Mods, if asking this violates any rules, just take it down, read the terms and it seemed fine to ask this question. Sorry in advance if not though. Thanks!
Champps at Southpoint Mall my man...i regularly travel to Durham from Australia for work and i always watch fights there
oh and finally, Carolina Ale House... i think the one in Cary had one of the fights on whilst i was there
FELLOW NORTH CAROLINIAN!!! HELLO!!! I know one place FOR SURE that shows the fight, usually for a 5-10 dollar cover charge - Buffalo Wild Wings. . Guaranteed to be shown there.
i thought they were more a UFC bar so i didnt list it :good but you would know better than me... NC is just my adopted home once a year
They usually show both PPV ufc, and PPV boxing matches. . . Champps is a good option as well. . . What do you think of NC? You ever ventured outside of Durham during your stays? What do you do for work? The triangle cities (Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh) are a really nice area.
Thank you all, I will try some of those places, if all else fails i think a movie theater in Cary is playing it. I watched Mayweather-Marquez at a theater when I used to live in MN, ****ing awful experience, couldn't even get buzzed for that bull****. Khan, I swear to god I thought you were a Brittard, good to know you're not. Dr. Gonzo, you wouldn't by chance happen to work in marketing do you?
Yup, celebratoin cinemas showing the fight. . . I agree, I didn't really like watching in the movie theatre either. . . My experience at the bar wasn't the best either, but it was better because of cold beers, and wings, and other delicious fried foods. I still say the best atmosphere is a small house party type gatherings. . . Haha, just a hardcore fan of KHAN! No ties to ENgland otherwise. . .
hey lads... i usually stay in Durham on the Chapel Hill side and ALWAYS end up drinking at the Federal or James Joyce (i ****ed the bar maid from there one night haha). I work in medical research (cancer research and developmental work) so i usually work at a lab in Cary... its nice up there. I really like Chapel Hill, Durham and Charlotte, hell even Greensboro but i really dislike Raleigh for some reason. Either of you boys been to that weird place called South of the Border? Its like a Mexican theme park on the NC/SC border. ****ing hell that place is a freak show i swear! I have been down to Myrtle Beach in SC and its crazy ****. Full of drunk frat girls with big titties
I'm going to watch it out but haven't decided where yet. Tobacco Road on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh will have it (I watched Mayweather/Ortiz there), but it was ****ing packed. Bailey's is on the CH/Durham border and I think charges $10. Backyard Bistro in Raleigh has it and Brickhouse (never been) in Raleigh has it without a cover. I'm going to a Derby/Horseshoe/Cinco de Mayo party in downtown Raleigh so probably will do one of those, even though I live in Chapel Hill.
