Well, judging by the way Hopkins fought against Winky, I'd say RJJ would have him all night long. Wide UD

I Guess you could look at it like this....but what if Hopkins wins but is beat the hell up.....yes RJJ has been KO'ed but numerous boxers will tell you its alot worse to get beat up over 12 rounds then by a quick KO:think

Funny you should mention that fight. That fight is a clear reason why Hopkins should never be allowed to box professionally again. I have said this in the past and I will say it again...Hopkins was always a dirty fighter...now that he has gotten older he tends to use the dirty tactics much more to hide his decline as a boxer! Some of his fans are blind to this and that in itself is amazing. Hopkins was so frustrated by Winky that he resorted to lunging in with his head landing a blow with is fist and then holding....he repeated this less than honorable style the entire fight...refusing to really BOX Winky....it is a given that both Winky and Hopkins best weapon is the fact that their defense shuts down most offensive fighters thus making the fight look boring and uneventful. That is how he has avoided RJJ fate later in their careers...he is never in jeopardy of getting KO'd because he is not man enough to fight honorably in a bout! Simple logic! His hit, headbut and hold tactics keep him from sustaining any real damage...and thus every fight he is in becomes a snooze fest....now you can give him credit for this and call him a legend all you want...I say it is a travisty for boxing to elevate such a limited fighter who has gotten away with bending the rules in the ring for far to long. RJJ is the better fighter in every category! Couple that with the fact that he and Bhop have bad blood between them and I think that gives RJJ all the edge he needs for the UD. Sorry for the rant but I just couldn't take anymore of the overhyped talk about Bhop. He was outclassed in the first fight (even though the scorecards were close) you could tell who the elite fighter was in that fight. :thumbsup

Good post :good I agree vs Winky, Hops was throwing a rough average of 9-20 punches per round and looked sloppy doing it...Jones would make Hopkins his ***** AGAIN:yep
After Joe beats Hops he should fight Roy if he wins he's top 25 ATG..i think
