I think Khan has a chance. If he goes in and out he might be able to Calzaghe his ass with shoeshine combos and earn the ud.

I think Khan has the natural talent to beat Mayweather - and by a wide margin. But Khan has got to learn a few skills first before he's ready to do that - Khan has got to become a student of the game. Maybe in a couple of years if he re-dedicates himself.

I can envision how stylistically Khan could give Floyd more trouble than people imagine. So it's not far-fetched despite Floyd being far better technically and more skillfully.

I do think Khan-Mayweather would be more compelling stylistically than Cotto-Mayweather at this stage.

I Khan could manage distance with his footwork? RJJ would have a solid point.

Unfortunately, like most Roach fighters, he can't. When he is attacking? He is going for it and head hunting to boot. A quick slip under ends it. He also can't fight well on his back foot. Although I think he could pose a problem on work rate and length.

That man has too many openings for Mayweather.

Paulie illustrates Floyd defensive-oriented nature as to why Khan could possess problems for him. He's right. Peterson does not fight the way Floyd ever does. When Floyd is aggressive, he is rooted in his wide, defensive stance. He does not risk squaring up or pressing forward in a bob & weave style. They fight nothing alike (Peterson does not ordinarily fight that way, but he showed he's capable of doing so if having too. Peterson literally changed his style to win a fight. Maybe it was a plan B but that's bold and takes great skill and confidence to do).

Floyd simply would not pressure Khan the way Peterson so persistently did. I do not really see that being much of an issues. The issue for Khan would actually be landing at a range, even though he has the range advantage he still needs to be able to land efficiently.

Styles make fights, a shot ODH gave Floyd problems, I think the blue print is there to beat Floyd and you don't have have the all round game as you stated, I think it Khan's style would pose different problems for Floyd ones we not seen for a while.

I don't think Floyd would try walking Khan down, because Floyd would not be willing to take shots or make himself reckless.

If Khan beats Peterson in 2 weeks we still may see this fight.

Just because a person is a great fighter or trainer it doesn't mean he can't make horrible predictions or statements. Muhammad Ali picked Michael Spinks to beat Mike Tyson. Eddie Futch said Ali was done with once he went to the ropes against George Foreman and picked Tommy Hearns to beat Marvin Hagler.

Khan is terribly overrated and would get picked apart by Mayweather. Khan is nothing special at all, simply a guy with speed and range. He lacks ring IQ, accuracy, good footwork, defensive skills, and basically doesn't have the ring composure and fluidity that the top fighters have. He fights like a programmed robot.

The fact that people call him some sort of future great just shows how much people overrate speed and ignore other aspects of the sport.
