Any sources on this? I wasn't able to find any.
I'm disappointed they don't send Perot if your info holds to the end. I think it's plain to see that Larduet can't compete with the very top.

Changes to May 11 ShoBox card

Cleveland’s once-beaten Willie “The Great” Nelson (17-1-1, 11 KOs) will step in to face Cuba’s Yudel Jhonson (12-0, 8 KOs) in the 10-round junior middleweight main event of the ShoBox telecast on May 11 from the Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel in Las Vegas. Original Jhonson opponent, Freddy Hernandez, has been forced to pull out with an injury.

In addition, East Los Angeles lightweight Aalan Martinez has also been forced to pull out of his eight-round bout against Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy. Barthelemy (15-0, 11 KOs) will still fight an opponent to be determined but his bout will not be televised as the telecast will now go forward as a doubleheader.

Richard Abril Now new WBA champion !!!!!!!

We have been informed by manager Ricardo Rizo via phone that the Board of the World Boxing Association has made a decision on the status of lightweight Richard Abril at their meeting in Miami. Among the items discussed were the irregularities of the weight of Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios, as well as the controversial scoring in Las Vegas where they announced Rios a winner by split decision. The fight was reviewed by eleven experienced officials, taking into account the report of the supervisor, and all gave the bout to Abril as the winner. The proposal made by the World Championships Committee, and supported by the Officials Committee, was to keep Abril as interim lightweight world champion. All Board members present in Miami approved the decision.

Hi, finally got the team that is going to Rio. Iglesias and Correa (instead of Ramon Luis) who failed to qualify at the last worlds will be going. Also Arisnoide Despaigne is going instead of Banteur at welter.
Leinier Perot isn't going unfortunately, they'll go with Larduet (btw, does anyone have the correct spelling of his name? I have seen several ways, for example Lenier Pero).

Sad to think that some of the new generation of cuban talent dont get the chance to go to London Olympics. They won their weightclass in the cuban championship
Middleweight Ramon Luis and heavyweight Leinier Perot.
But there are so many young cuban talents going to London

But look at AIBAs pages the next days to watch live 3 cubans trying to win and qualify

the make the national team the main requirement is being reliable.
its why sometimes they are missing the best of the division. And still, the" reliable" ones sometimes turn to be " unreliable" and defeat anyways.
