Was anyone else surprised Canelo is the 3rd highest rated, active fighter on compubox

I agree thats what they should count for Because one thing for certain Floyd ,Ward and Klitchko are very accurate punchers ..But thats not actually what happens ..In the Hopkins Dawson fight they had Hopkins throwing around 400 punches something like that ..I really want to know what were they counting ..:think

 

No hard to be efficient against scrubs like Cintron.

 

If it's so easy why aren't there lesser known fighters there or Unskilled fighters there if its so easy...

It's easy to hate on Canelo but when you have a banging resume at 21 it gets hard to hate unless your an Extreme hater, that's why many people love canelo... he is humble hard working, great pleasing style, and has a great resume for 21... yeah GBP ****ed him by giving him a belt but if he didn't have it.. he would be one of best prospects in the world couple that with his unique look and it has star written all over him

Gomez "Practicing moves with gomez, KD with a jab, almost TKO'd him to the floor but Weeks did his MO and stopped it early."

@ 21 years old, come on now... Yeah he is a champ but I blame that on GBP for trying to make the ginger much more marketable and Unique to get that Fan Base GROWING $$$$ I still see him as a Prospect waiting to peak and be matched with the best.. **** GBP and TR awarding gifted belts to make their fighters unique like PAC and Canelo but why hate the Player hate the GAME!

 

Because their fights need to have been COMPUBOXED, the likes of Chris John, Roman Gonzalez and Anselmo Moreno haven't had the required number of fights WITH COMPUBOX.

But of the fights you mentioned Vazquez fights won't have been compuboxed so scratch that one (and thats with out mentioning the size difference), Hatton, Gomez and Cintron were more Welterweights than Light Middleweights, Rhodes was an old (old) man who had been boxing for what 20 years nearly? Baldomir, whilst it's impressive he stopped him is another who is 5 years past his prime.

Canelo, whether you regard him as a prospect or not (personally after 40 fights it's hard to regard anyone as a prospect) needs to be fighting genuine Light Middleweights not smaller man (and certainly not lil Archie Solis...).

 

When your opponents allow you to fight at your own pace, you can be as efficient as this.

 

Archie Solie, STFU you would deck anyone ****ing around with your family so Shut up please... also you can easily pick apart any great resumes so Good job doing that...

Canelo fought Vazquez at the time when both weren't even on the radar, nor canelo was GBP... even grounds and Canelo beat him twice. Of course Canelo fought him in his official debut at Jr WW and Rematched him at Welter...


Other good fighters that stand out to me is that Lanardo Tyler guy and Larry Mosely... Also Jose Cotto was a good fighter that Canelo TKO'd...

I mean the resume is there... and its easy to pick apart but for the kid to fight such high competition at this stage in his career is an amazing feat... He will slowly give everyone what they want don't worry

Exactly if they weren't on the radar IT WOULDN'T BE USED IN REGARDS TO THE COMPUBOX THING. Jose Cotto is another much smaller man, Tyner is hit and miss and it seems to depend on what mindset he's in, Larry Mosley had fought ONCE in the previous 2 years (lost by TKO) and was almost 3 years from his last win.

 

The kid needs to start working on his english if he wants to be a HUGE star.

 

I'm not talking about Mayweather, Ward, etc.

Canelo in his last couple bouts has been allowed to fight at his own pace. Taking time off in bouts to do what he wants, fight in spurts. This will not be allowed against the best.
