Some of you need to go learn boxing. First of all Cotto came to fight. Full credit to him. He busted Floyd's nose with that jab. Floyd beat Cotto and it wasn't close at all. Floyd's defense was on point.

Now Manny gets dominated by Floyd. Cotto can cut off the ring, Manny can't and Manny doesn't have a jab to bother Mayweather at all. Roger Mayweather has told us time and time again that you need a jab to beat Floyd. I scored the fight 9 rounds to 3 but 1 could have been even. It was a great fight and Floyd actually gave away a few rounds being on the ropes. One thing I noticed is that he still can give movement. Manny probably won't beat Bradley to even see if he can get Mayweather.

Its not as simple as that though as Pac isn't as strong as Cotto either. Mayweather's reflexes were not at the level we are used to seeing though.

This is the saddest thread Ive seen yet. The OP himself was rooting for Cotto the whole time in the RBR thread and now he comes here to express his shot emotions.

People forget that it was Floyd who was the challenger...bumped up his weight to go get Cotto's belt, beat him at his own game and did it convincingly. Cotto didn't even want to stay in the ring and talk about it.

Floyd Mayweather is #1, he looked like #1, fought like #1. 43-0 and you just cant stand it can you?

Some PAC fans are drinking the Koolaide. First, the Cotto that faced Floyd was not the same Cotto who faced PAC. Although Cotto fought a great fight, Floyd showed why he is on a different level (For the record: I rooted for Cotto 2nite). He fought toe to toe with Cotto and beat him convincingly even though he took a few shots from Cotto. PAC does not have the technical skills or ring intelligence to beat Floyd. I don't understand how this is a debate. Some people obviously don't understand the technical aspects of boxing. The last two rounds really showed why May is in a class by himself.

Floyd would likely get on his bike and box and move the Marquez III blueprint. A lot of Mayweather's flaws- fighting too linearly, staying on the ropes too long, etc Pac could potentially exploit. However, he has to get in Mayweather in that position, and I don't think Mayweather would risk it. He would be on his bike a lot more.

Yup, all about styles. Remember, Floyd whipped Marquez like a step child. Marquez really caused problems for Manny and according to some people beat him. I have no doubt that Floyd would outbox Manny.

One fears any chance of seeing the two in question matching up are long gone. Even if they do soon, doubts will forever remain due to the stages of their respective careers. They are both undeniably 'greats' though perhaps both beyond peaks should one graph their careers in such a way.

Mr Mayweather, among these doubts in my mind, is certainly a talent worth treasuring, Cotto brought a world of trouble and was met full on by an accomplished almost aristocratic display of self entitled dominance. He goes beyond that what he should reasonably be able to, time and time again.

Nope, not convinced in the least. Mayweather embarrasses Pacquiao if they fight. AND, most likely knocks him out.
