everyone who used the pushing Floyd back to the ropes strategy had a significant weight advantage over Floyd. emmanuel doesn't.

Cotto(e) being able to use this strategy doesn't mean emmanuel can. They're very different fighters.

No. Floyd continues to show how easy it is to shoe-shine him and steal rounds. Pac doesn't have to knock floyd out, he just has to outwork him.

Back in the day Sugar Ray Leonard had his corner yell out "30 seconds!" every round so he got the cue to flurry and steal rounds. I couldn't help but constantly think back on that tonight. There were SO many rounds where in the last minute it was completely up for grabs.

I think floyd still schools him.

The only people who've caused floyd trouble have been physically bigger, and have come to fight.

Castillo, hoya and cotto have made floyd look uncomfortable at times but he's still always found the required adjustment to secure victory.

Pac looked better against cotto and he's a better offensive machine than cotto, however he won't be able to force floyd back and marquez has shown that with snap and timing you can seriously reduce pac's effectiveness. It's a matter of styles and to be frankly honest, floyd is the best fighter in the world today because he can adjust and flick between defence and attack seamlessly.

Combine his stylistic and physical advantage with the fire in his belly and I think he stops pac in an uncompetitive fight.

I would be rooting for pac because I always cheer on the underdog, but I don't think anyone south of smw can beat floyd over the next 2 years. I also think pac has declined over the last 2 years whereas floyd looks just as good as he did stopping hatton.

In a years time he'll definitely be facing saul i'd imagine. I think he'll cap his career off against martinez. I just hope he makes the pac fight somewhere between.

    For me styles make fights

Three southpaws are on the radar and I would say in terms of chances to beat Floyd it goes like this.

    1. Martinez - beats Floyd plain and simple - Floyd even wants Segio to move up and fight Ward because he knows this man would be too much for him at 154.

    2. Lara - 50 - 50 fight against Floyd - very dangerous.

    3. Manny - Floyd favourite - would counter Manny and confuse him in a quite straight forward fight. I wouldnt have said the same 3 years ago.

    THIS!!

IE Cotto is an infighter, Pacquaio isn't, Cotto can apply intelligent pressure, Pacquaio does not really. Pacquaio's speed and straight left are obviously dangerous weapons though

Martinez shouldn't move down to fight floyd. Moving down usually results in defeat.

If floyd wants the fight he should move up, otherwise just stick with pac and the lmw crew.
