Are Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao realistically the only 2 to defeat Mayweather?

That's probably worse than your other statement. Khan's ring IQ is arguably worse than his footwork. Show me an example of his ring IQ, or when he took his own initiative in a bout and it worked? Khan relies on his trainer, and even then he doesn't listen.

When Khan boxes and uses his head, his footwork lets him down. He is off balance A LOT, and he commits to shots when his feet are not in place. Mayweather would have a field day with Khan.

IMO Khan won't be big trouble for Floyd. He's not a smart fighter like Floyd and Floyd won't have a hard time figuring out how to deal with his hand speed.

Pacman is a really great fighter. Honestly this is the only fight Floyd can lose, as i don't expect him to move up in weight.
First Pacman has to look good against Bradley after his lackluster performance against JMM

    He's a middleweight!
Floyds a welterweight who stepped up to beat the best available. No catchweight. Id guess last night he was 14lbs lighter than Cotto.
He'd be over 20 lighter than Martinez.

Why stop at Martinez, why not Klitschko, that would be even harder.

Cant see it at all. If you give Floyd and time at all, to any situation, he ajusts and youre toast.
Cotto is the strongest type pressure fighter in or around that weight, can really box, and Id say was in his best every condition last night.
    He got a lesson.
He was able to outbox Pac at times, just got careless, and hurt badly from which he never properly recovered.
Nobody outboxing Mayweather, nobody, so its got to be pressure, and not Khan or Pac gonna be able to do anything with Floyd.
Pac looks awesome against fighters who march to him, he cant deal with boxers, and Mayweather is the ultimate boxer.

Khan would look clueless against Floyd, he cant ajust, can defend, and he has little to no variety in his work.
This would be easier for Floyd than JMM was.

Khan is the only fighter who is around the same height as Floyd but holds a handspeed advantage over Floyd, Khan is faster, has a better jab, has a better workrate than Floyd.

As Roy Jones Jr said Khan is the only fighter that has a chance to beat Floyd.

yes, if you don't count guys like martinez.

Khan although not the good - has a good style to fight floyd, and he won't be outmuscled the way he was vs peterson - I honestly think he can steal rounds and make it competetive

Khan has no inside fight game, none. And he sure as hell cannot outbox Floyd.

From range Khan is in his zone, yet to see someone outbox Khan from range, not happening, and let's not pretend Floyd is some pressure fighter, he won't hunt Khan down.

try to remember though that khan is still a hot and cold fighter who looks dynamite one minute and hes struggling the next - and thats without beating prime fighters. compared to floyd who is beating a whos who of current champs.

EDIT : but credit to amir for crossing the pond and making his name. a lotof brits dont and cry foul from britain. so props to him.hope he gets the fight
