i just posted this in the on the ropes thread after hearing them on the radio show talking about there being no visible fights out there for floyd and they expect him to take a vacation or tune up against a nobody....

in regards to what you guys were saying about all the speculation about whats next for mayweather and tune up fights and vacations no, no, no!!

remember where you heard it first.....

Next year Floyd Mayweather will be fighting Amir Khan at Wembley Stadium im the UK!!

it frustrating listening to you guys and you not being able to see it. The fights been building for a couple years and would have been next had it not been for a referee in Washington and a certain lamont peterson not reading the script but the Golden boy lawyers are on the verge of fixing that (unless peterson knocks him out he has zero chance of winning in the current corrupt climate)!!

this fight makes sense will have par per view on both sides of the pond includes freddie roach it sells and it could be competitive. Older floyd against improved faster bigger KK

also fmj loves the UK and has been desperate to come back and fight here after seeing all the love he got in canning town for the marquez build up. He's so desperate to come here and fight he even was very close to making a fight with matthew hatton last year!! Trust me....

it makes money and it makes sense!!
    this will happen

**** that, Mayweather will still have a bigger support here.

Khan will lose against Peterson or one of the top 147 fighters, so I doubt it.

pay per view on both sides of the pond smashing records in the uk!! it will happen

Floyd actually wants to come in the Uk. Believe it or not he doesnt actually love the fact he's hated and booed everytime he fights in the US. The fans were going nuts with elation last night just cause he had a nose bleed!! In the UK his skill and craftsmanship is appreciated and he knows this and wants to fight and experience something even close to the love hatton was getting!!

corruption wont allow khan to lose again unless he's knocked out!!

who else is he gonna fight? Martinez? someone with no fans who is unknown outside boxing and is too big? come on man think realistically

amir khan is just the type of fighter that would appeal to floyd, well known fighter with a significant fanbase, but also with a lot of flaws to exploit. if khan beats peterson its definitely on, dont know if it will be in the uk though. more likely to be vegas in an atmosphere floyd is most comfortable in. he needs to be careful though, khan is extremely good against outside fighters- look how easily he beat kotelnik, malignaggi and judah- even if he is very vulnerable under pressure. i think an aging floyd would struggle with khans speed and jab and might be forced to be alot more offensive and fight on the front foot. it would be very interesting to see floyd forced out of his comfort zone, although he would probably be too smart for khan...

    :happy:happy:happy exactly

if he's stronger at welterweight and carries his speed against an ageing floyd i think he could create more problems than pac would. i think khan may well have fastest handspeed in the sport....

The peterson loss should have put an end to all of this talk, the rematch will be another close fight that should dispel all rumours of amir getting the shot.

when floyd fights it aint about who's deserved its about who brings the most $$$$$$

this is why both him and pac wanted cotto and his rican fanbase!!

who brings more dough and fans than khan (outside the obvious which will probably never happen)?
