Floyd makes more than Manny because he's his own boss and has a much more financially rewarding business structure. Manny, if he didn't have Arum and used the same formula, would be pocketing similar amounts of money; especially considering the worldwide revenues generated in Asia.

But that's not what determines a fight split (how good of a deal a person has with his promoter). Instead, it's the draw and name of a fighter. Pac's built himself to become Floyd's direct opposite. He'd be making it the huge event as much as Floyd would. He'd be playing an equally important role in generating PPV sales all over the world. Anyone that advises him to take only the flat fee and ignore the rest of the revenues, would need their face slapped, because they'd be giving up potentially another 20 or so million dollars that they've helped generate.

What kind of **** businessman would do that?

 

so if floyd-cotto does big numbers, you can say that it's because pac had made cotto a big name after their PPV sold 1.25M buys before.

also floyd was not exactly alone. he has canelo alvarez who is quite popular to pull-out the mexican buys.

 

so why didn't floyd just accepted the $50M counter-offer which is by far bigger than the $25M that he is guaranteed for ortiz and $32M that he was guaranteed for cotto? also floyd has other options aside from 50/50 which is the 55/45 split to the winner.

and from legacy point of view, pac is more proven and has achieved ore tahn floyd with less comparable talent. pac has several great wins over ATGs in his resume. floyd needs pac more than pac needs floyd more.

 

Well, at this point, I don't see how anyone could think FMJ is scared of Pac. If anything, it'll be egos that stand in the way.

 

Why does Pacroid deserve 50% when he draws consistently lower numbers against the common opponents? Mosley, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, and soon enough Cotto all drew more against Floyd.

Overall, Pac is smart not to take the buyout. However, he might want to think about getting rid of Arum. Floyd makes more money because he doesnt' have Arum anymore. That's Floyd's point.

And all the other supposed offers are b.s. until they are from Arum's mouth and in writing.
Arum's words are as good as Don King.

Overall, Pac is as much as an egotistical businessman as Floyd.
