I'm not a Floyd fan, but I have to say, I've upped my opinion of the dude a little after last night.

He struggled more than usual and had to dig a little deeper.

He won the fight clearly (8-4, IMO).

He apologized and made up with Larry.

    He gave a decent interview.

And finally, he 'crashed' the Stewart/Lampley post fight commentary and came across well.

I'm still not a fan, but I feel a lot less negative towards him after last night.

Any other non-***** improve their outlook on Floyd ?

Been called a "*****" (an atrocious assertion), but Floyd did nothing I didn't already know he had in him. He is just simply much more than skills, reflexes and arrogance. He's got an iron chin, heart, recuperative powers; can adjust and deal with pressure and adversity head-on.

Refreshing thread from a great poster, cuchulain. :deal

Th fight reinforced my belief that when Mayweather is confronted with a game opponent who can land some hard leather on him, he is ultra-determined to give more than what he's getting. The dude has heart. He's very tough. Nice to see he and Larry having a respectful and classy interview with each other, too.

If that was Mayweather's last performance, I wouldn't be mad at all.

Floyd has a manufactured media persona so what you saw was a glimpse of the man and not the persona.

    This was an entertaining fight.

It was a more entertaining fight then usual from Floyd. Mostly because Cotto made him fight. It's too bad this fight didnt happen years ago.

A little bit. I still blame mainly him for the pac fight not happening but it was nice to see him fighting hard and acting respectful for a change.

    Err, whys that?

There's only one man actively seeking the fight & that is Floyd. *If it wasn't for Arum, this fight would have happened on May 5th.

What is it exactly, that Floyd has done that makes you think it his fault?

Heaven forbid he refuses to take a random drug test.

The whole build up to the fight improved my opinion of Floyd. There is no need to knock your opponent at every chance you get it only lessens the value of your victory. Floyd was respectful throughout and showed just how good he is when fighting someone as good as Cotto.

Floyd did well fighting a bigger guy. I don't know the official in-ring weights, but it would've been about 12 pounds.

The *******s carry on about how great Manny is because he gives away weight but have chosen to ignore the fact that Floyd has just done the same.

Manny's gonna look like a rag doll in there when they meet at 147.

All my negative opinions and straight up dislike for the man are from the way his is outside of the ring.

I cant fault him as the boxer hes sheer class.
