Ruiz was his mandatory - actually Ruiz was Valuev's mandatory; Haye had paid him step aside money to get to Valuev. There was no way to avoid fighting him - (other than fighting a Klitchko in a unification bout).

Enzo Mac was a belt holder, a fellow Brit to boot, with just the single early career loss on his record. He was also billed as being a 'harder hitter' then Haye. Just because he has subsequently done **** all, doesn't mean he wasn't at the time perceived to be a legitimate opponent.

Now I know it is a good thing for prospects to fight frequently, in order to get used to the rigours of fighting professionally, and to put into practice the craft learnt in the gym, which often means fighting opponents who aren't going to pose a massive threat, (which generally means fights against boxers with losing records); but what was Adamek doing fighting a debutant in his 15th fight? Are you telling me the above does not constitute padding?

Do you know who Haye was fighting in his 15th fight? Vincenzo Rossitto. A man who I felt was unlucky not to come away with a least a draw against Jonathan Banks - you know the guy that ducked Enzo Mac, for what he perceived would be an easier fight in the States against a blown up light-heavy (how wrong could you be)?

Face facts. You claim that you are comfortable with the truth that Adamek is a B class fighter. You should also except that he has a padded record - much moreso then Haye.

While it was a **** performance from him he got jobbed by the crooked british judges and received a classic british decision.
