According to many critics on ESB, Khan has this "fragile, glass chin" but then he fights a drugged up Peterson and then takes shots on his "glass jaw" from Peterson too. If Peterson couldn't knock Khan out on drugs, then how the hell is Khan's chin this fragile thing everyone is talking about. I understand Peterson's record doesn't highlight him as being a concussive puncher, but still, he landed some clean shots on Khan and still couldn't rock him. There will probably be a ton of "Khan is still a glass jaw" but what are your unbiased opinions?
yes because testosterone equates to punch power just cause Petersen got caught taking testosterone doesnt take away from the fact that Khan fought like **** shame the rematch didnt come off because we never will get to see if Khan could right the wrongs of the first fight
Khan should give Prescott a shot now to right the wrong of getting KTFO. Prescott wanted a rematch. Khan should tell him if he wants one he can replace Peterson on the same card. Plenty of other fighters take fights on short notice.
There was a moment during the middle of the fight when I was sure Khan would get stopped. But he had enough skills and ring smarts (pushing & running) to get through. Doesn't make me think his chin is better, Petersen had him in real trouble.
But it does enhance your stamina and durability. Just imagine: it's the 10th round and you're walking through punches and still running on what feels like a full tank. You telling me, in conjuction with this, your punches won't be maintaining a bit of their snap, either? And are you also telling me that Khan's below-par performance wouldn't have had anything to do with the person he was fighting? Like I said, if you can walk through his punches with relentless stamina and punching power that you usually have in the early rounds, you're likely to have an adverse effect on the quality of his [the opponent's] performance at the same time.
**** they should just let the fight go! He isnt on testosterone for this fight, so let him do this since its so close, then ban him after
Prescott caught a weight drained kahn cold, he survived madianas bombs. His chin aint as glassy as people think.
I agree with you on this, I think it explains Khans performance in hindsight, Peterson was stronger than he thought, and game.
I think Khan will prove to have a Lewis type chin when all is said and done. He'll most likely pick up another shock KO upset in the next few years, due to his poor defense and inside game, but he'll also be able to take some surprisingly solid shots from decent punchers.
