I voted for the BBBofC on the basis of the clear complications which will damage British boxing in the future.

    Promoters are very short-term minded.

I'm not being the voice of reason, but when it came time for them to show they had some guts, they fluffed the decision.

I don't think anyone would have had a serious objection to a six month ban and a fine. Instead they came up with a half-assed solution, begging to be exploited.

No one is saying Box Lux's involvement is a good idea, but it is what it is. They're no less credible at this stage than the Board that approved Burns-Cook. Oh wait, that was the BBBoC!

What good comes out of this? Well hopefully it forces the Board to do its ****ing job properly in future instead of arrogantly assuming it is the lord and master, when it's just a glorified sanctioning body. At best.

No one knows whether this will be good or bad, certainly not you.

Go on, tell me about it being a bad example for kids again. That really made me laugh.

Bang on! They are a private company, don't do your job right and alienate your employees and customers and someone will take your place, simple :deal

They have no divine right to a monopoly especially when they keep ****ing up

    I'm actually quite shocked.

Its okay for promoters to bring in outside jurisdiction which could create even more governing bodies to fall out.

    This is bad.

Shame on those who think this is good for our 'sport', **** this 'business' bollocks, its a sport which is getting infected worse.

You`re avi is pretty decent aswell :good.I worry what this might mean for british boxing but don`t feel strong enough about it to boycott what i think will be a good fight and one hell of an event. The board have only got themselfs to blame for this situation.

One thing the BBBoC will never do jack about: the British stoppage.

    I vote BBBofC.

Any rationally thinking individual would support the BBBC,as I do.
This piracy is a short term fix to put money in a promoters pocket, period.
Very short termed with long term reparcutions.

The BBBofC should get their own house in order before criticising anyone else. They could start by employing referees and judges who actually know how to referee and judge a fight correctly....Its an embarrassment to be frank that a national governing body employ such incompetents, at least I hope that its only incompetence and nothing else. It would also be nice that when a fight is dubbed an "eliminator" then thats precisely what it is.

The BBBoC's jurisdiction should begin and end with fighters welfare. They've been a power for good in the sport since McLellan and Watson, but they have no business telling fighters how to behave outside the ring. It's laughable that they let the likes of Maccarinelli carry on fighting but ban Chisora and Haye for trivial stuff.

This. Plus the small fact of actually policing their accredited officials so we stop getting suspect decisions......
