why is everyone thinking this fight is going to be some toe to toe war??the build up will be great, action packed and funny.but make no mistake haye is only fighting chisora for an easy route back to a title shot. haye by ko/tko.chisora just isnt that good..
You're 100% right on the fact that David would never have taken this fight if he did not reckon that Chisora was going to be an easy go.
David Haye always get's fight fans excited and this matchup will be more interesting then Wlad vs Tony T 2.
Agreed. I can see this being just like Haye v Ruiz... One solid chinned plodder lumbering forward with no ability, get tagged at will all night long until the eventual stoppage. This fight is exciting because the build up will be fun... not sure it will be a very competative fight tho in all honesty
It won't be toe to (pinky) toe because Haye fights backwards and sideway, and doesn't hold ground. Chisora will chase him all night, and the questions are; - Will Chisora be able to corner Haye? - Will Haye be able to withstand Dereck's constant attacks? - Will Haye hit Dereck with a few big counters wich will win him the fight? Chisora is the one that makes this fight interesting. Valuev vs Haye > Valuev came forward, Haye in retreat. Haye vs Ruiz > Ruiz came forward, Haye in retreat (can you imagine?!). Haye vs Harrison > No one came forward, 2 rounds without landed punches. 3rd only one attack ends it. Wlad vs Haye > Wlad came forward, Haye in retreat. Fury vs Chisora > Chisora came forward, Fury in retreat, sometimes holding ground. Helenius vs Chisora > Chisora came forward, Robbert in retreat, often holding ground. Vitali vs Chisora > Chisora came forward, Vitali in retreat, but mostly holding ground. Clear who will be the agressor in this bout.
Whatever way you look at it, it's more appealling and chances are it will be more exciting than Wlad/Thompson 2.
I see people are still under-estimating Chisora here, if he comes into this fight on form (like he was against Helenius and Vitali), he gives Haye hell.
I'm more worried about Haye turning up in fight form, although pretty much awful in the Fury fight,Chisora ALWAYS turns upto scrap. And he won't stop coming forward untill either Haye stops him or he stops Haye.
Cannot agree more. Haye's power has genuine snap with smaller Heavyweight's. He might not be able to one shot a Klitschko, but he can do some damage to a weakly disciplined Chisora and make him look like a fool movement and speed.
He also doesn't punch as hard as Vitali nor Helinius, and they barely put a dent in del boy's chin. Haye is really gonna have to come to fight and apply a constant beatdown if he even dreams of stopping Del, who is going to keep on coming. Based on his footwork and speed and overall technique I do think Haye can win though, but as already stated it's going to be a long hard night for Haye.
I'm hoping he proves me wrong though and punches Chisora on his arse with the first big shot he lands.
Helenius, Vitali and Fury (yes really) are all considered big punchers and they all failed to put Chisora down so what makes you so sure Haye can? Chisora is going to be full of hate in this fight and Haye is basically going to have to kill him to keep him down, Chisora's not giving up easy in this fight. There's a case to be made that Helenius and Vitali were injured but never the less they did land big shots on Chisora and not put him down. Haye is not the monster puncher some would have you believe and of course doesn't throw enough punches anyway to begin with. Wlad Harrison Ruiz Valuev Barrett Bonin That's who Haye's faced at HW and let's be honest only 2 of those could be considered top 20 ranked HW's at the time of the fight, Wlad and Valuev, both of which he didn't come close to KO'ing or even knocking down. The rest of that motley crew of trash can fighters didn't exactly get blown away by Haye either. Judging how this fight will go I think you have to look at Haye's fights with Fragomeni, Mormeck, Ruiz and Barrett. Chisora right now is better than those 4 and is in his prime and those 4 give Haye enough problems to win the fight themselves at certain points.
