Austin Trout was mandatory for a belt and the org wouldn't force the fight. As a result he sat out without a fight for a long time because he would have lost his mandatory status. Vanes asking the org to put in writing that they will enforce his right to fight the champ is not unreasonable. Why is the WBC unwilling to do so? Isn't that the point of another "final eliminator". Blame the org here. Everyone knows Sillyman will bend over for Canelo here. If Canelo/GBP doesn't want the fight Vanes will sit on his ass instead of making some coin.

Lol @ some "Mexicans" talking as if there had been any ownage by anyone in Lara vs. Molina... It was an incredibly boring and ******ed fight, with a lethargic Lara and a holding Molina. Pure ownage! Lol, what a bunch of jingoistic Mexican ***gots crowd this forum.

I use to think Martiroysan might become a decent fighter but his career has hit a wall and whatever interest there was in him is about gone. I thought his fight with Roman was for a shot at Alvarez but I honestly don't know if it was a final or semi-final.

Being that Roman is an undeserving fighter for Martiroysan to beat in an eliminator isn't the point and is a topic all to itself. The point is that if it were an eliminator than Martiroysan should get a shot at Alvarez if its a semi-final then he has to face Lara.

If Martiroysan's goal it to face Alvarez then he should take the fight with Lara, if he wins then he's the mandatory if he doesn't take the fight he probably drops in the rankings. Even if he lost to Lara he makes a nice payday and gets tv exporsure to go with it, turning down the fight isn't going to get him closer to an Alvarez fight.

Martiroysan is still young and Top Rank has a number of fighters in/around his weight class that he could face so he doesn't necessarily have to face Alvarez to land a big fight. The problem is that he seems content with facing lower rated guys on undercards instead of facing top fighters.

It was called a semi-final before the fight took place. This notion that Vanes should somehow be the mandatory even though he's never fought an actual mandatory eliminator is baffling to me. I'm all for calling bull**** on the WBC and the very existence of "semi-final eliminators," but nothing in the lead up to and aftermath of the Roman fight should have indicated he'd automatically be in line for Alvarez.
Top Rank is actually pretty thin around his weight. They tried to match him with Cotto and the fight was rightly rejected by HBO. It's unlikely they'll have a chance to do the Chavez fight due to the trainer problem. I guess they can feed him Margarito at some point but it sounds like the cheat is headed to middleweight and what does beating him really get you in 2012?

Callate guey.

Martirosyan has the highest **** talking to testicular fortitude ratio in the game. He is a complete and utter embarrassment. I have more respect for Chavez Jr than I do for this little *****.

If it was a semi-final then the WBC is correct in saying he has to now beat Lara, hate giving the alpahbets any kind of credit but they didn't do anything wrong here then.

Top Rank doesn't have a lot of depth in those weights but they have some talent and some are big names. Cotto could still do fights with Top Rank and could probably find a tv date somewhere. Mike Jones probably moves up at some point and would be a nice fight.

Not too mention Martiroysan could go to 160 and possibly get Chavez or even Pavlik if he fights at middle again. A Margarito match up makes sense and I'd agree a win over AM doesn't carry the weight it use to but it would still get him a nice payday, exposure, and a name on his record. Top Rank could keep him busy with mid level to big fights, the problem seems Martiroysan isn't interested.

Maybe he has something going on we're not aware of but it looks to me like its small fights on undercards while turning down the bigger fights is all he has planned at them moment.

This Vanes cat is waiting and hoping he can cash in against JC Jr.

He Knows Lara would probably ruin his masterplan.

Molina Lara 2 then .... watch Molina make the Cubans hype look ordinary... then they'll come back and say he was sick/ bad training/ inexperienced ... and all the excuses they threw after Lara's daddy owned him and GBP saved him. Cubans don't ever mention gifts on their side and cry when everyone else is gifted... I still can't believe Lara landed 100's of lefts on Williams and never even stunned yet the recent hearns win has many thinking he is some crazy 1 punch destroyer .... but yeah Canelo making millions Saul MONEY Alvarez has all these haters lining up all roads lead to canelo so wait yyour turn...

Again, all he is asking is that he will actually get a title shot and not sit on the shelf for two years if he wins 'another' eliminator. This same situation cost Austin Trout a big chunk of his career because he couldn't take another fight and the org wouldn't enforce his mandatory. Why won't the WBC put in writing that he is guaranteed his shot if he wins? Nuf said right there? Sillyman and Mexican Golden Boys?

porcentages? Si fueran tan chingones no sacarian porcentages. Sacarian titulos.
