The British Boxing Board of Control is 100% against Haye vs. Chisora, contacted various sanctioning bodies incl. the licencing Luxenburg commission and flat out said that any promoter, fighter, official or any other person involved in the upcoming show will lose it's BBBoC licence. Now that's pretty serious!

To organize an event on British soil but without the BBBoC sanctioning is truly a big risk, maybe our more knowledgeable British posters (okay, that was a joke) can shed some light if that's even possible (say in the US the state athletic commission IS the absolute authority, no going around, but say Sauerland fighters are fighting under Austrian licence in Germany).

It's pretty clear that there's no room to maneuver, the BBBoC took Chisora's licence after the Haye brawl, and while they had no say on David's career since he's retired, they are not planning to licence him. On the other hand the hype machine of Haye-Chisora already started and there's too much money involved to just cancel the whole thing.

BBBoC vs. Haye/Chisora - who wins, or on other words, how it will go down?

    Haye/Chisora by K the F O!

the BBBwoC have already shown that they have no backbone with the Haye betting issue, and they will buckle again. :deal

There's nothing the BBBoC can do to stop the fight, even if they take away Fwank's license and all the other fighters and trainers too, all that will do is make other promoters here use Luxembourg instead.

All the countries are part of the EU and this is no different to using an Austrian license in Germany or the BBBofC sanctioning title fights in Ireland, they can't stop the fight and the threat of losing licenses won't be enough for Fwank to cancel it.

Don King held a fight in Zaire, for heck's sake. There's no stopping this absurd fight if the promoters see green.

The BBBoC are a joke. Adam Booth was correct in saying the outcry towards the brawl in Munich is disproportionate. No one got seriously hurt, it was just two fighters who got carried away.

Then the media jump on board and call the fighters a disgrace, when they should be commended for bringing excitement back to the sport and showing some rivalry.

I keep hearing questions asked of haye and chisora that they should be like Frank Bruno and Henry Cooper. The same Bruno who lost all the big fights, who was an uncle tom and a british bum who had no courage in the ring and is now spending his time in the looney bin Or the same Henry Cooper, who's in his grave now?

**** that ****, this is the 21st century and every fighter cannot behave gentlemanly towards one another, it would be boring if every fighter smiled towards each other before every fight and hugged and paid utmost respect.

the 1st line i agree with. The other paragraph is well out of order.

Anyway the people who have been trashing the fight probably love Tyson, Mayweather, Judah etc. The posturing and scuffling that these two did wasn't much worse than Lennox and whoever rolling round on the floor. Its boxing its not always nice - but no one was seriously hurt you will see worse scrapes in most city centres on a friday night

It's an excellent fight but also one that shouldn't be happening according to BBBoC, they took Chisora's licence for a reason and would've took Haye's as well, only he wasn't licensed. Overreaction or not, that's BBBoC's stance and they are willing to enforce it to the point of removing every involved fighter's, trainer's, promoter's, officials' license. And that could have a major impact on British boxing since BBBoC controls all the important UK titles.

Imagine Margarito fighting in California during his suspension period with a different licence and the outrage it would've caused. And Margarito's trainer only attempted to pad gloves. There were no gloves in the Haye-Chisora brawl.

The BBBoC have already lost. The only thing left to be determined is the extent of the damage.
