How do you boy see Jarrod's career progressing and how far can he go? With wins over Adonis Stevenson, James DeGale and Lamont Peterson just to name a few in the amateur ranks, do you see his potential transfering to the pro ranks? IMO he lacks the power to make a splash on the pro scene but he has some silky smooth skills and fast hands. I think he has the ability to get a high ranking and win some good fights but winning a "world" title all comes down to the champion at the time. 2 or 3 more domestic fights and he should try his hand in the US imo. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=489937&cat=boxer This content is protected All the best to Jarrod with his professional Career :bbb
A little early to predict with confidence. Jarrod and Rocky Jerkic seem to be the future of domestic 160s. No reason to think Jarrod cannot mix it with the worlds best if brought along properly. I would like to see him with a little more pop in his punches without sacrificeing his great hand speed.
Fletchers ring craft is superb. He as the ability to make a great fighter look ordinary Big future for this kid
Fletcher might have a marginally better chin than Geale but IMO is considerably an inferior boxer to Geale from the many bouts i have seen. Add to the fact that i feel Fletcher has less power than Geale also...it will be tough on Fletcher once he heads into the top 20-25 ranks at Middleweight. I expect Fletcher with his superior boxing & amateur pedigree to dominate at domestic level quite easily. I wish he would apply a little more pressure & not look so amateurish still, in an attempt to finish off domestic mediocre opposition. Either way am interested to see where he goes but believe it will be tough in about 5 fights or so once he steps up from domestic to becoming a fringe world contender.
I know his last opponent is hard to look good against but i was underwhelmed by fletcher compared to his previous fight where he was super.
Even allowing for the piper factor, i just thought he wasnt firing on all cylinders that night. Might have just been an off night. Not potting him, he has really good potential. Stamina for an amateur background is great...thats one thing that stands out.
http://www.qt.com.au/story/2012/05/15/fletcher-and-saunders-clash/ Well lads, if this fight comes off, I think we'll find out sooner rather than later how far Jarrod can go. Perhaps an early move but refreshing to see.
Love to see our boys fighting for the commonwealth title. If only it held the prestige of yester years
Great base for a very busy 12 rd fighter. Slick superb conditioning and discipline. The sooner he goes to the us the better imo. Might even take on a new trainer IMO he has too much of the amateur tactic going on, this isn't aba aiba anymore, also too little power, I am hoping he takes on a solid 12 round strategy if you follow
