    something along the lines of...whoever takes part in that bill at upton park will therefore be losing their BBBof C licence

    i cant see either ricky burns or kevin mitchell doing this unless they have total assurance that in a legal way the BBBofC cant do that

    Not sure the Board have a leg to stand on. Either way, the more high profile names on the bill the less chance of them trying to impose sanctions.

    The Board are well and truly backed into a corner here.

    If I was advising them, I'd say to get Allegedly into a meeting asap, secretly allow this event to go ahead, and then make a public ''kiss and make up gesture'' around September time.

    If the Board actually governed the sport as they should, this incident would never have happened. Del would be in the middle of his ban and a potential fight would be talked about for early 2013.

    The other fighters such as Mitchell, Burns, Gavin etc are in a pickle.

    Do they side with the board and not fight - in which case they'll not be earning and will spend a prolonged period on the sidelines, or do they fight and risk losing their BBBoC licence?

    If Allegedly loses his licence one has to assume that their contracts are null and void anyway, surely?

    **** knows.

    The board can take their licenses away from whoever they want, surely.
    The main event features a fighter who the board have withdrawn their license, because he's unfit.
    Any license holder supporting the event is obviously committing an offense under the BBBofC constitution.

    I think they are on strong ground. They have quite a solid case.

    BUT Allegedly can probably afford better lawyers ! :lol:

    Other than banning Allegedly, who is clearly the instigator, they've little case IMO.

    What kind of position are Burns, Mitchell and whoever else in?

    Do they turn their back on Allegedly, who holds their contract and has looked after both very well, or do they side with the Board who would **** them over at the slightest indiscretion?

    I'm about as anti-Allegedly as you'll get, and in principle don't support unlicensed boxing or whatever, but the Board are guilty of allsorts here - mismanagement of the Chisora/Haye affair, and in general they're incompetent.

    If they were a transparent body like many other sporting organisations they'd be much less likely to come under fire. As it is, they've left gaping holes that a smart man like Frank can exploit.

    This is what he's been wanting for three years to drag him out of the ****. When Chisora and Haye started arguing he had the chance to stop it, instead he had a sly smile to himself and probably started thanking God there and then.

    The Board are a disgrace, if it collapses as a result of this affair, so be it.

    They have no case at all. They do not take away the licence of fighters who go abroad and who fight on fight cards sanctioned by other foreign sanctioning bodies....Sauerland bills in Germany for instance. So how can they discriminate against fighters on cards sanctioned by the body from Luxembourg by taking away their licence. Nothing will happen because the BBBofC will not be able to afford the compound damages awarded to fighters when they get their arses sued off in court by disgruntled and wronged fighters and promoters.

    The BBBofC cannot just indiscriminately withdraw licences, they have to have just cause and "just cause" will be highlighted in their rule book....nobody has broken the rules.

    The contracts FW has with his fighters has a legal basis (statute) the BBBofC's constitution is not based on any statute and is as far as English law concerned the same as membership to a gentlemens club,

    Strictly legally speaking they have no case, Burns etc can fight for which ever sactioning body they please, they have no legal contract with the BBBofC.

    Just for people doing what (apparently) they were told they could do? i.e. apply elsewhere for a license.

    Any way you slice it,it's bad for boxing.Surely Frank can make a friendly gesture to the BBBC and make some type of comprimise,otherwise this going to get very nasty.
    The best thing in my opinion is to move this event out of the country and everyone would save face.
