No,he didn't have the tools.Power and quickness can only take you so far when you have ZERO technical skills and boxing IQ.But you haven't changed and are still too much of an idiot to see that.

 

Hamed has lots of power, he could throw punches from any angle, etc.

 

There's no doubt power wise he's one of the hardest hitting Featherweights ever,arguably the hardest.
His trouble though was against the best opponents the flaws in his game were exposed.The Ingle style which some people on here think is genius you could get away with against lesser opponents,but the best fighters would make you pay for the shortcomings.
Barrera took him to school,one man was a proper well schooled fighter,proficient in the art,the other was simply a hard hitting bully who had many bad habits.

Why do people always **** these threads up by saying Hamed wasn't prime, or Hamed would have beaten Barrera if 'X excuse' didn't happen.

I'm a massive, massive Hamed fan, he's my favourite boxer of All-Time...but he does not beat Barrera at arguably any stage of his career IMO. He simply couldn't land the power shots, or enough on Barrera...Barrera was just too good.

Now let's stop people from hating Hamed by making these threads and excuses...

prime hamed had the same faults as post prime Hamed, he had little ring intelligence.

Barrera would have unlocked him the same way, it just would have been more gruelling for him and Hammo would have been throwing for a few more rounds before he faded.

Barrera exposed and destroyed Nasseem.

 

Forgot to mention somewhere that Jimmy Wilde, Jack Kid Berg,Randy Turpin, lloyd Honeyghan and Lennox Lewis,Naseem Hamed is amongst them as Britains atg`s.Nigel Benn nearly makes it,but not quite,neither does slapper Joe.
