why bother signing to any promoter? emmanuel is known enough to be a free agent. He just needs a good team.

Your naive to think than someone with no big business experience can pull off what these guys do. There's a reason only some promoters make the huge money for christ sakes

    He hasn't got that.

The problem with fighters who trust their promoter throughout their career, is that they don't learn what goes on behind the proverbial curtain.

Are you talking about Floyd and Cotto(e)?

he lacks the savvy to do what Floyd and Cotto(e) did?

Floyd: "Manny needs to get his house in order"

Vision Quest: "Manny gets advances on his bout purses and we loaned him money to buy Koncz a home with the promise that he will pay us back when he gets his next advance" "Manny doesn't have copies of his bout contracts and we are having trouble getting them from Top Rank"

Even Oscar de la Hoya the PPV mega King realised that a promoter job is not easy

thats why he has big business bankers like Schaefer running the show

It's weird, I think he's happy with his Boxing career ticking along; with Arum in control. It's one less thing to worry about I guess.

Cotto's real test will come now. He has no belt, and he's a dangerous fight in a division devoid of A class Stars. We'll see what fight he can get himself next.

If true (which I doubt) he should leave Arum, promote himself, and get Al Haymon or Sampson Lewkiwcz to advise him.

Pac probably wont have more than a few fights left, but he would make a killing for sure. :deal

Floyd: "Arum takes too much money form Pac"

Brian Kenny: "Are you locked in a promotional deal with Golden Boy and how much do you pay?"

Floyd: "Don't axe about my personal business - I dont ask if you and your wife have a pre nup"

Brian Kenny: "Eh - this is your professional business Floyd"

    Floyd: "Its personal business"
