Well someone likes them because the WWE girls sell very well for Playboy, especially Torrie Wilson.

If thats why you think they watch, thats your perogative. You could just ask them and get the actual answer.

This retort is about as goofy as the latest Floyd act because boxing's ring-side girls are undoubtedly finer than your wrestling girls yet not even HBO/Shotime give them but a flash of airtime.

On second thought maybe you have just proven that boxing fans are far more serious than wrestling fans:lol:

Boxing has proven when the big fights are made nothing can stop it. I blame the Alphabet Organizations as too many fighter want to hold onto their trinket belt and fight mandatory fighters instead of Unify. That has hurt Boxing.

This thread reminds me of something that Ali said in one interview:

"Heavyweight Champion Of The Whole World... He can whoop every man in Russia, every man in China, every man in Africa..."

That was Ali's dream - to be able to beat every man on the planet. I remember that to proove that he really can do it, he wanted to fight Wilt Chamberlain cause people was wondering if he can beat such a giant.

I guess that at that time people's understanding of who the boxing heavyweight champion of the world is, was less or more like that (he can beat everyone) and that's why championship fights were so exciting.

World heavyweight champion was one man usually reigning for years so when he lost it was a really big event. Now we know that there is a bunch of top fighters but the word "champion" lost it's meaning because of 2 reasons I guess:

    1. As everyone here is saying there are too many belts.

    2. I guess that no one is eager to believe that boxing champion can beat everyone in the world when we have MMA. Everyone knows that boxers in general don't have much of a chance to beat MMA fighters in a real fight so being a boxing champion has lost it's magical aura.

It doesn't have as much exposure as it once did and the best fights aren't always made. Fights you wouldn't care much about if they were on REGULAR t.v. are on PPV.

The reason is that people would rather play team sports for many reasons. They get money up fornt, Not as much pressure, and most likely they'd be more famous. PATHETIC. I'd rather be a bad Boxer than a good Basketball player any day
