That's right. For a name like "Golota" there are always options, but Golota's deal is basically contingent on this deal.

You are a 1000% wrong. Golota doesn't need the $$$, he wants a belt before he hangs 'em up & King will see that he gets that shot. Even if its against Wlad...

    Golota KO 2.

As usual, Jetski is correct. Words from the Ziggy (Golota's Manager) were that he doesn't need $$$ and he just wants a HW title.

That would suck if Golota doesn't get another chance at a title until he's like 43.

It'd be nice if he was undisputed champ by then.

He's actually rated in the top 10 by two or three of the boxing orgs.
I'd say his chances of getting an eliminator at least are pretty damn good.

Golota needs to stay away from Klitschko, Everyone else I say he is competitive with.

I am under the impression that the Peter Maskaev winner MUST fight Vitali in their very first defense.

Peter-Maskaev is in next 2 weeks and WBC eliminator Virchis-Gomez is at the end of September. Do you really think Peter is going to wait for the December for his next fight against WBC mandatory ??

Vitali will not fight Peter, he will return only for Maskaev, get a tittle and retire for good. He is to old and injured to fight on.

Peter once sign the contract to fight Golota for WBC Interim, prior McCline's fight, but there was money issues between King & Showtime.

Maskaev beats Vitali like he did when they fought in the Russian Army. Many times, history repeats itself. Don't underestimate Oleg.
