Get ready for another WBA appointed 1 round slaughter tonight vs Makoto Fuchigami.

besides Golovkin there are 7 other guys claiming pieces to the middleweight title.

this farce is acceptable because supposedly Sturm is a fight the WBA has ordered next. of course

the fight with Sturm doesn’t happen, Golovkin will have his sights set on any of the world title holders from jr middleweight to super middleweight

Makoto Fuchigami is coming off a hot victory Kyung-Suk Kwak (9 wins 5 losses) less than 30 days ago.

GG last 2 years of "title" fights

    2010-08-14 Milton Nunez 21-1-1
    2010-12-16 Nilson Tapia 14-2-1
    2011-06-17 Kassim Ouma 27-7-1 (lost 4 of 6)
    2011-12-09 Lajuan Simon 23-3-2 (lost 3 of 6)

i know bad management blah blah, wait till next fight (like after Lajuan simon) now we got 5 months later the best they can do is....

    2012-05-12 Makoto Fuchigami 19-6

should be a good one tonight boyz!! :D

Yeah, it's a joke. Hopefully Lara moves up and fights golovkin, that's something I want to see. Apparently the Japanese guy is better than his record shows, but meh it's still a crap fight.

Sturm is a dick for dodging Golovkin for so long.

No excuse for fighting such a bum a this point of his career though.

apparently Sturm has until September to fight Golovkin, but somehow I don't see that happening, he knows he'd get KO'd by GGG and will avoid him (like he avoided all his other mandatories) at all costs

No one wants to fight Golovkin.

Martirosyan, Taylor and Rubio couldn't ko Ouma. Golovkin did it
No one has ever ko'ed Lajuan Simon Simon before and Golovkin did it in 1 round.
After Sturm Golovkins goes for the top guy's

It's really not so easy to get fights von GGG. Sturm is ducking him for two years already, N'Dam rather gave up his interim title than to fight him. GGG is a high risk fight for everybody in the MW division.

After this fight (assuming no upset), K2 wants him to fight in the US probably against another mid-level opponent before his hopeful September fight with Sturm.

The funny thing is Golovkin creates this kind of fear in other fighters whilst being one of the only modern fighters that fight at their true weights. GG could make 154lbs if he so desired but takes greater pleasure in beating on bigger guys lol.

Well, Sturm's definitely got the skills to beat anyone at 160 and he is the ideal candidate to play the spoiler. Golovkin is very athletic and explosive but I don't believe that he's ever gone the full 12 rounds(?).
If Sturm can keep that jab in his face and use his movement while avoiding exchanges(and avoid giving away too many rounds in the process), we'll probably see an exhausted Golovkin around the 8th or 9th round. Sturm would then probably be able to steal the late rounds and eke out a close decision.
Sturm is usually in great shape but he'll have to be in the shape of his life to pull it out.:good
