Haye never beat anyone as good as Bruno. In Bruno's era Haye would've fared far worse than Bruno.

Oh FFS! So now a mentally ill upright European stiff style fighter beats a slickster like Haye. How exactly is the stiff Bruno going to catch The Hayemaker? He'd be chasing shadows all night long. Let's not forget that every time Bruno stepped up he folded mentally and got badly KO'd.

Here have a look below and see how easily The Hayemaker deals with lumbering upright European style fighters.

If the German police can't catch Haye what chance does the lumbering Bruno have?

Result. Haye UD or Haye with a late KO.

I would not be one for singing Bruno's praises as I always thought he was limited. In saying that he was a proper heavyweight with concussive power. Bruno's jab, being his only real asset, was an outstanding punch with serious power. Bruno's jab was good enough to find a way through Haye's mediocre defence.

Valuev>Bruno. Anyone that says otherwise needs to check out Tim Smith, Witherspoon, Lewis and and Tyson 2. I very much doubt Valuev is stopped in those fights. Haye's victory was fairly hollow but it's still a win.

Valuev would lose to all those guys.

Valuev is also feather fisted, which Bruno wasn't. Valuev is also, crazy to believe, slower than Frank Bruno.

Valuev would lose to Tim Smith? Have a word with yourself, pal.

And he wasn't feather fisted, stop talking total ****.

As bad as his Stamina held out Bruno actually put in decent performances against Smith, Witherspoon and Lewis.

If Bruno connects Haye is KO'd. I have no doubt Hayes chin can't stand up to Bruno's power.

Ye joe louis and ray Robinson could have been unstoppable if they'd had proper post 1950s training and a few protein shakes! :deal hell, watching the footage we have of them I'd fancy my chances

Yeah, Bonecrusher would probably take Valuev. He'd certainly give him a good go. Bruno was fighting well until he gassed. No denying that either.

    Valuev is no puncher.

I'm not even sure Haye would beat Gary Mason.

The cruisers now are bigger then the heavie's were then.

I think he stands a chance against all but Frazier, whos pressure would really get to him. Marciano was a come forward guy but lacked the dynamic head movement of smoking joe which I think would give Haye fits.

Also Jack Johnson was a glass jawed fraud exposed by Jess Willard.

  13. Totally agree and, in the reverse, I think Bruno would have achieved everything Haye has in this era.

Marciano had very good head movement.

Marciano would grind him down and thump him into the canvas imo.
