Cotto won 6 and 8 for sure. Dominantly. Can't say he didn't.

    I think he won 3.

There are no other rounds which were even close. What? The 5th? No.

actually the reverse is true. Watch the fight again and you will notice Mayweather's accuracy was way over 46% yet compubox gave him a connection rate of 26%.

And how exactly did you calculate his accuracy to over 46%

    9, not 5. ;)

The 5th was definitely Floyd's, but the 9th IMO was the closest round all night. (followed by the 3rd...the rest were all clear for one or the other; 6 and 8 for Cotto and the rest for Mayweather)

Just looking at my scorecard from fight night. Haven't rewatched the fight yet to see how this looks now though.

    Mayweather - Cotto

    1) 10 - 9
    2) 10 - 9
    3) 9 - 10
    4) 10 - 9
    5) 10 - 9
    6) 9 - 10
    7) 9 - 10
    8) 10 - 9
    9) 10 - 9
    10) 10 - 9
    11) 10 - 9
    12) 10 - 9

    Mayweather - 117
    Cotto - 111

    typo? :think

(other than failing to have a dot between the eight and the close parenthesis to avoid the bbcode making the sunglasses smiley) ...like so: 8.)

You must have those swapped around, surely.

3 and 9 were close. Wouldn't mind if somebody gave them to Cotto.

    :good :nod

To me, that is the correct range. 118-110, 117-111, or 116-112 to Mayweather depending on whether you gave Cotto one or both - or neither - of the 3rd and 9th. (6 and 8 are inflexibly his)

It's actually really surprising to me that there are so many other variants of scorecard floating around. 120-108 to PBF? :? Some people have a draw? :?:?

There weren't really any remotely ambiguous rounds outside 3 and 9, IMO. :conf

I dont see how you can give the 8th to Floyd

6 is a good Cotto round, Cotto had a case in 2 and 5 but at most id give him 5,6,8

6th and 8th were the strongest Cotto(e) rounds. The judges aren't always right, but all of them also had those rounds for Miguel.

    Did you re-watch the fight?

I'm sure on fight night the round was scored for Cotto. Hell, I scored it for Cotto. After seeing the fight again, it was a close round that I scored for Mayweather.

Watch it again and get back to me. :thumbsup

I agree with threadstarter after watching it four times i came to the same conclusion. people who said cotto won round 5, 3, 9, or anything outside of rounds 6 and 8 are delusional. floyd outlanded cotto 24/12 in round 5 and 12/5 in round 9. he held cotto to single digits landed in every round except round 8 and after watching it again he still lost 8.

how can you give a round to cotto when he isn't landing clean punches and floyd is:deal

if you want to be generous you can give him round 8. but anything other than that is a stretch and you are being KIND to cotto.

it was a complete wash like the jesus chavez fight.:deal
