    It is. Story was written a few time,s last I saw it was maybe 15 years ago. I think it also was in Sheehan's bio on Marciano, not 100% sure.

    Mickey Walker also wound up homeless, with him it was due to alcoholism. Willy Pep was broke even in last years of career. Most did not know how to manage money.

    Yep I don't think many lightweights or fighters for that matter would survive that barrage. Both Jack and especially Ike were ripped mofos they didnt need any high tech drugs or flintstone vitamins to look jacked up. Ike looked possessed thats one of my favorite fights tho Jack did take some unnecessary punishment.

    Ike did stop for a second and look to the ref though. A good man. That sort of sportsmanship seemed rare back then.
