Everyone is going crazy about how Floyd definetly deserves a much higher split now due to the 1.5 mill ppv buys.

Now I know it was stil a big number. But is this figure not considered a slight failure.

I though they were going to break the 2mill mark. I thought tthey were aiming to beat DeLaHoya vs Mayweather.

I thought 1.5 mill was dissapointing considering the event.

I have no doubt in my Mind, if you replace Floyd with Manny at this Stage of his career. You had Manny Vs Cotto for the 1st time now! With Alvarez and Mosley on the undercard on Cinco de Mayo. It would have also done 1.5 Million.

Why are people acting like floyd just done crazy numbers. He did good numbers. But he did also have Cotto attracting al the puerta ricans. Alvarez bringing in all The Mexicans and Mosley bringing in all the .... :blood

Good number but I don't get hy everyone is getting carried away. I was expecting 2 million plus when I saw that card.

I agree. With Canelo fighting Mosley and you only beat Pac vs. Cotto in November 2009 by 200K isn't the greatest look.

But yes you could easilly argue having mexicans most popuar fighter on the undercard on Cinco de Mayo got an extra 200k buys

    :good

Without Alvarez, this fight would have done lower numbers. Cotto is also a pretty big household name compared to an near unknown like Bradley. This 2 names probably added at least 300-400k to the PPV total.

Floyd fans will pretend that it's all Floyd, which is predictable.

  8. How much did this ppv cost compared 2 others in the past or pac's ppv's ?

Floyd fights are also offered in theaters that's why the ppv nos are lower than they would otherwise be.

It was still a huge success. Canelo in the undercard certainly helped though.

lets not forget..... playoff basketball......ufc on fox...and 1.5 is only the domestic number ppv..but hey 94 million in revenue....has to suck...then i guess it sucked..not mention live gate...

its like they 9.8 mill ppv(17 fights pac)

    vs 9.6(9 fights may)

i like both fighters... and if they fight they fight they dont they dont...

it is business...and be happy...i am...boxing is still in business...

i cant wait for US heavyweight... if tyson made 300 mill back then and all the ppv numbers ...in this day...double that if he is a destroyer...we can only hope

    until...fans of whoeva... continue...

smh @ 2 mill plus. I can't believe you thought it was going to do 2 mill.

There is only fight in boxing that can achieve 2 mill ppv buys.

1.5 mill is pretty good. Its the second highest for a non- heavyweight fight.

94 million dollars generated. Wasnt that the second highest non HW PPV ?
    :blood
    Pacquiao Cotto generated 70 million.

If that wasn't a success then what the **** is ?

Lucky for floyd, he sell 1 mil above ppv for a boring fighter to watch.

Normally, casual people tend to watch exciting fighters like Ali or Mike Tyson. Those 1.5 mil, maybe 500,000 of those were boxing and hardcore fans. And 1 mil were casual fans.

Anything above 1 mil is a succes IMO.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!...Ever since Floyd got that flashy KO Against Ortiz, that was all over the news, I KNEW This fight would be big...every Floyd fight from here on out, will be bigger, and bigger!...Floyd was the main attraction and it was all because of how the ortiz fight ended...he can break a mil buy himself like he did with Ortiz, but I never expected him to get 2 mill buys, who u think Cotto is, pacman?..LMAO...Im impressed with the 1.5, cuz its bigger than mosley fight, and that was the biggest in a long time
