Not the best supported though. All about the $$$. Ricky Hatton got 40k+ turning up for the Lascano fight which was essentially meant to be a tune up.

    This.

Boxing is popular in Mexico, but nowhere near as popular as Futbol.

Puerto Rico takes this one IMO.

Too bad its only used for kids with stunted growth. Filipinos are naturally short, so it wouldn't be safe to use it on their children.

    I voted Mexico.

I feel that Puerto Rico should have at least made the poll, they have produced more quality fighters for the size of their country (pound for pound I suppose) than any other country.

I`m guessing they love boxing over there.

Well, Cuba should be there as most Cubans ( in the island ) are very passionate and into boxing even though it's amateur. When the World amateur events come almost all Cubans tune in to see their countrymen compete. Amateur boxing is still boxing. ;)

My apologies I made to much of a mockery in the poll.

So it seems the overall consensus is Mexico, but if we take popularity/population size ratio it would be Puerto rico?

Another question for any mexican knowledgable folks... and please blame me for my ignorance, I understand the cahones and heart that is a huge source of pride.. But it seems there is a lack of versatility in styles? For example I believe the shell-defense is looked down upon? comments?

Definitley and Im not excluding Cuba because I don't admire the passion or the dedication which I know is probably the top of any country out there.. its just I was more curious about the professional side of boxing
