READ the actual article - Pac never quoted that hateful passage. . Nor did he calls gays an "abomination". . .

All he says is that he doesn't believe in same-sex marriage because it's against his religious beliefs. . And that he disagrees with Obama on the issue, and he thinks USA should be a leader regarding the issue. . .

He NEVER SAID anything hateful at all about gay people. .

Everybody has different political, and religious beliefs. . whatever. . i could personally care less what gay peeps do. . . King Khan believes if you wanna marry a shoe, I'll marry ya. . .

Pacquiao is a hate filled little man. His hatred and intolerence is what got him banned from Extra.

Its not even like he's some crazy out there religion.

He's the same religion as most of America and Europe.

I'm not religious, but i think if you'r going to follow the bible. You can't pick and choose which bits you like.

The Bible doesn't agree with same sex marriage so if your christian thats what you got to believe.

If you want my opinion, the bible is a load of crap. Its just a story written by 4 guys 1000's of years ago. And don't get me started on the Pope's house. The Pope makes floyd Mayweatther look like a homeless guy.

Any intelligent person should see its aload of Crap

    I pretty much agreee. . .

But if somebody is religious, and believes that gay people shouldn't be allowde to marry cause it's in thte bible, then whatever. . so do a lot of other people. .

I might think it's a silly, but that's not even remotely close to what some people are trying to make this situation out to be. . .

Pac did not say anything about killing gay people, or anything remotely hateful about them. . . just that he doesn't believe in gay marriage.

No Christians are allowed to believe in Gay Marriage, if they want to follow the Bible properly. CHristianity is the Number 1 religion in America and Europe.

That's Christianity should be banned with views like this one. Its ******ed outdated logic.

You can beat your wife for being unfaithfull but 2 gay guys can't get married!!!

This is the first thread I've seen that tries to correct the feminine drama-fueled idiots who don't even take the time to read the article, and just assume he said something hateful. ..

There are a lot of decent, intelligent people who have the same view about gay marriage as Manny does. . .

But he never quoted the Leviticus passage. . Nor said anything hateful.

Im pretty sure we already knew he was against gay marriage anyway being a devout catholic and all?

The fact that he said "the U.S. should lead on this topic" (being against it) shows that it's a little more than simply him saying, "I believe, what I believe".

This is an apology from the original writer. He did not quote Pac saying those things. The writer added it himself.

According to Morman scripture, all Black people are cursed. Mormans used that as a crutch to openly discriminate against Blacks for over 150 years. I guess that's not a problem considering it's in their scripture. They were just going by their religous beliefs

Check out this gem from the Bible:

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: And he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, 'Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.' ... Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, 'Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.'"

Christians used this passage and many others to justify the the ostracization of left handed people. If Manny Pacquiao's mom was left handed like Manny and went to Catholic school when she was younger, she would've been beaten with a ruler if she tried to write with her left handed. That's right, left handed people were once considered an abomination by the church. Bible thumping Manny wouldn't have been able to have been a pro fighter, and a devout Christian 40 or 50 years ago(unless he could fight right handed).

It's not okay for someone to discriminate just because the bible says so.

    Those aren't "Christians".
Christians, to put it simply, follow the example of Jesus.
And Jesus embraced the "extreme sinners" of His time (tax collectors, prostitutes, etc.) -- he dined with them (back then this was a BIG DEAL), walked with them, taught them even.
    All written in the Bible.

BUT, HE NEVER SAID IT WAS OK TO SIN.
He never said it was ok to collect excessive tax.
He never said it was ok to sell your body.
He never said it was ok to be a hypocrite (Pharisees).

    He straightened them all up.

REAL Christians will never look down on or discriminate against gay people.
But SIN is SIN. Adultery is adultery.
It doesn't matter if you are gay, straight, black or white.

God abhors the sin, not the sinner.
And when you do sin, you can always repent.
