Jones probably wanted to look bigger at the head to head, which looks like he has taken literally. But filling your head with helium ain't the way to go.
Dwyer seems to think this is a potential barnburner and seems to have been watching the K army on here. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTGHOAf-adg&list=UUBcFoQPB7137UekX118Db0A&index=3&feature=plpp_video[/ame]
Yeah I was suprised when I watched the video and heard him say Jones has a chance at the knock-out. But I have a lot of respect for Dwyer and he knows what he's talking about so we'll see. Dwyer also said that he likes Jones's attitude and I agree with him, I love the trash talking he did at the press conference.
Here is Jones vs Ouali. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXb42ZPcMFU[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsdTQ1N7MII[/ame]
That is one fat face, fat cheeks and fat head. I guarantee Jones can't walk into a bike shop and buy a standard crash helmet. His ****ing head is far to big!
Jones has workrate and variety on his side. But he's pretty basic, and Brook has the sharper jab, looks to have the edge in dimensions and shook be too quick and command centre ring too much. Jones will make a fight of it, it's a good fight for Kell. Again, no need to rush him. Just get him out regularly enough and don't go back down a step from now on. After this Jones-Bailey should be the natural love, after that Berto-Ortiz, or Khan :yep The division is being held up by the top two only engaging in super fights and the contenders are thin and none of them have staked a claim as a big challenge to Manny or Floyd so they're having to look elsewhere for opponents at the mo'. Brook needs to try and give a gold account of himself against the nest of the rest. They all need to fight each other as well. One step at a time for Kell, big fights will appear for him when the picture becomes more clear.
It will be a good fight, Jones has operated as high at middleweight and seems to have found success as a Welter. He's basic as Flea says there's nothing great about his work he's pretty one paced. Seems to work in straight lines and only ups pace when he has his man hurt. He digs to body and works away decently so he will present Kell with a better test the Hatton IMO. He likes to use a short double jab to step into range then throw a right hand behind it. I think Kell can counter him well with right hand and also hit him with jab clean as he doesn't move head a lot. Changes levels here and there but not a great deal he also struggles when fighters steps out back out of range as he comes in. He gets lost in transition. Seems rather flat footed, a plodder with decent handspeed. A decent variation which will trouble Kell but he tends to telegraph his shots for me. Squares up as he throws but overall he's decent. Kell's not the most electric fighter but his accuracy and timing will hurt Jones who was hurt early but Soto Karass who landed a nice left hook which buzzed him. Jab and bodywork is key for Kell here, His defence will be tested and needs to be sharp this guys a big WW. I think if he stabs jab to body he can offset attacks and dishearten Jones who i'd say has trouble making weight due to that immense drawback he has.. *Waffling post*.
