The real question... When Paul whips Canelo, will people give HIM credit?

This one really is giving me sobs and making me cry in laughter. No disrespect to PW but after those gay marriage threads with Manny, Floyd and Pres Obama and now you say that PW is gonna school Canelo?

Williams will be tough no doubt. You have to be able to work angles to get inside on him and I think Canello can.

Alot has to do with how the judges score the fight if it gets to the cards, which I think it will. Cannello is going to land the bigger shots, especially to the body, will Williams volume be enough? Will the cards be stacked against him before the fight even starts? Either way, this is a matchup I watch boxing for.

We'll see, I'll Avatar bet you on the matter. Canelo by UD or late TKO. Paul might throw a lot, but he doesn't use his length or height well at all. I honestly think Canelo will have no trouble getting inside his range and pummeling Williams with head and body shots. Canelo couldn't stop Mosley, but Mosley has always had an iron chin. Paul has a good chin, but I think Martinez and Lara have taken some of his durability away. I think he's grindable now.

GBP aren't dummies. They want an open, easy to hit guy for Canelo. He shines against those guys. They don't want some defensive minded guy (like Molina) or even a boxer with a high guard (like Cotto) just yet. They want a come-forward guy who's there to be hit, and Paul fits that bill. I expect a decisive win for Canelo.

I'm hoping for a closely contested 12 round fight... If Canelo lands the bigger shots and Williams lands at a far greater volume (like I think/hope it will go down) you can bet there will be cries of robbery on both sides.

At what point in my post did I say that he would "school" him?

    I'm waiting...

I am a HUGE PW gan but lets be real now....Canelo would batter him with gruesome body shots and great counter punching...Sergio Martinez isnt walking around knockin cats out with one punch but left PW looking dead and pretty much ended his career...this is a terrible fight for PW but would be entertaining fight because he always brings it

The guy was all over the place when Martinez hit him the first time and he has tasted the canvas face down and now he's gonna throw that whole lot of punches on Canelo without getting caught? canelo who blasted Cintron out in 5 and the same Cintron who stood 12 against Martinez? You didn't say he would school him but what am I supposed to think when PW faces Canelo? That he's gonna go right there to get him cold, the 21 year old boy? Of course, if he takes it he's gonna try to school him like he did to that Japanese who stopped Kirkland inm 1.

You said stoppage, as in grind him down. That ain't happenin. If Lara hit him as cleanly as he did with no effect... you better believe that Canelo ain't puttin no lights out.

thats the problem, he doesn't have power, he doesn't have margo's chin or endurance. He isn't as relentless and he doesn't cut off the ring like Margo does. They are stylistically the same but he is a whole level down from Margo.

Fine then. Avatar bet for a month when/if the fight is signed. I'll put a Williams Avatar up for a month if he beats Canelo by any means OR lasts the distance. You put a Canelo Avatar of my choice up for a month if Williams gets stopped.

I see this as a 50/50 fight and i dont really think it will happen. Canelo is young and is still learning but we dont know how past it Williams is. WIlliams has shown a shaky chin lately but Canelo doesnt have the one punch KO power to shatter it. then Williams has a size that Canelo hasnt faced yet it. to me it all depends on how past it Williams is
