Off? It's one thing after another for him isn't it?

  7. It's never going to happen for Gavin IMHO.

There is a legit reason for the postponement

    This.

2008 is a long time ago, and his best performance/win was arguably against Lomax.

If nothing has happened by now then nothing will, i'm afraid.

Theres always a legit reason for a postponement...at least in the mind of the fighter. I missed the birth of my first daughter and the death of my mother because of work, I didn't even go to the funeral...its all about perspective and commitment

Really disappointed for Gavin. It just hasn't happened for him in the pros at all. He is an exceptional talent but he's had so many knock backs its going to difficult to come back from.

How many more is he going to have? Talk about bad luck.

No disrespect to Curtis, but Gavin was being built up as a world amateur star who was going to be a legitimate World Champion.
Genuine World Champions in the making would not be given such a struggle by Curtis Woodhouse.

Gavin no longer has any chance of being a huge star, his ability, his style and his persona is just not going to propel him to stardom. In fact I believe he'll be retired shortly.
He's nowhere near Britains best prospect anymore. DeGale, Groves, Frampton and Quigg 4 straight off the top of my head who have gone way past him.

    True.

And the rest! Fury, Eubank JR, Mitchell, Murray, Brook, Rose etc

If FG retires, it'll be by the end of next year, you watch.

Shame really, as we should be talking about him with the likes of Khan/Rios/Brook/Berto, not Ex-Footballers, Unheard of Irish fighters etc.

He's got to take some of the blame as well, because nobody has that amount of bad luck without doing some of it themselves.

He should go to the States!
