True that mate. Always thought Harding with his chin, heart and stamina would have dominated back in the bareknuckle unlimited round days. He would have takn John L. Sullivan I think.

mike tyson vs james douglass is d best ov examples of rokky balboa if d long count n 8th round was 10 secends not 14 secends it wud be jus lyke a rocky film n scored mike tyson ko8 james douglas but sum ppl say mike tyson got long count n 10th round but so fukk it means shitt cos 10th round cums after 8th round so if 10 secend count in d 8th round it be tyson ko8 douglass n there be no 9th or 10th rounds 2 happen

Marciano - Walcott was not a beating; Jersey Joe may have been ahead on points but it was actually a lot closer scoring wise than most people realize.

In Wizard of Oz I thought it was the straw man that needed a brain, not the tin man.

carl the cat thompson v seb roothmaan
After three low-key wins, Thompson met South African, Sebastian Rothman. Thompson had been on the end of beating for most of the bout. The BBC commentators on the night, Jim Neilly and Colin McMillan, were calling for Carl's retirement, saying he was finished, taking the beating needlessly, and that the fight should have been stopped.

Rothman forced Thompson on to the ropes during the ninth round and the referee looked at Thompson ready to stop the fight. Somehow Thompson got away from the ropes and forced Rothman into the middle of the ring. With 17 seconds remaining in the round, Rothman dropped his left hand for what seemed like a fraction of a second, allowing Carl to deliver a flush right hand to the South African's head knocking him to the canvas.

Rothman bravely tried to get back on his feet but his legs had gone and the referee had no option but to stop the fight, handing Thompson a famous victory

Julio Cesar Chavez, took a pretty good beating from Meldrick Taylor and was pretty swollen when the ordeal was done. Of course, Taylor was in worse shape despite dishing out most of the punishment, but it was a great comeback win ( and controversial ) for Chavez. Incidentally, I loved Taylor's style. His moves and ring generalship was a pleasure to watch. Very skilled athlete, who I still wish had gone further in his career.
