Yeah you don't see Floyd usually missing 4 shots in a row,Cotto's head movement is a lot better since the last Margo fight..

Forget Mayweather, Wright, Hopkins, and Toney. Cotto is the best defensive boxer since Pernell Whitaker.

Cotto was always a good boxer as well as stalker. He is more versatile he just doesn't know how to make the proper decisions sometimes. For the first have of the fight with Margo in the first fight, he boxed really good. He showed how versatile he is. But then he started to slow down, the pressure was too much, made him move too much which his body was not suited for. Then the cement fist did their magic. The fight with Mayweather more suited him because Mayweather wasn't stalking with the intensity that Margo does. Mayweather was the aggressor sometimes, but for the most part he was boxing. Cotto has always had success with this type, although never at the level of mayweather. The reason why, is because while he is still using up energy, mayweather's style compliments his own. He could have the energy later in the fight, because he isn't being pressured severely. Mosley pressured Cotto, but cotto has better boxing skills than mosley (yes he fights off the backfoot way better and has a much better jab) and and mosley didnt do it with the same intensity that Margo did. Also... if Cotto BOXED pac, it wouldve been a lot more interesting for him, due to pacs inability to cut off the ring properly and how frustrated Pac got when cotto was fighting off the back foot boxing.

If Hatton could take a better punch to the chops, he would be a very difficult fight for cotto, on the basis of his footspeed when he cuts off the ring.

Honestly that was slowest and basic I've ever seen cotto but he still gave Floyd all he could handle. Floyd always looks human when he's in there with a top level opponent who's his size and isn't old as dirt.

Didnt he do something similar at the end of a round in his fight againstPac?

Or maybe i'm confusing it with another of his fights.

My thoughts exactly! These *******s were saying that Cotto was shot, and that he was cherry picked. Now he's tough as nails huh? Wow. *******s never cease to amaze me.

Same here. Much credit to his new trainer.

But one thing i'm amazed at because your a cotto man and you broke down the fight very well when you watched it and Cotto did exactly what you said he could do and can do and he did it but you had him losing! Well I don't see how when he put a lot of early rounds in the bank and blocked a lot of Mayweathers punches, more than Oscar even did. I watched the fight 5 timers already and I come up with a drAW EVERYTIME.

Same with you too. Your a Floyd hater more than i am, and I had the fight a draw but you had Cotto losing too. Like I said to Bogotazo, i've watched it plenty of times and Cotto didn't get enough credit in those rounds when he showed good defensive and aggresiveness along with the clean body punching he was landing. All the rounds I try to give Floyd, I simply can't because he didn't land enough scoring blows in those rounds, where Cotto landed around the same percentage but he was outworking him in the exchanges and not getting credit for the punches he did land.
