British ref's are notorious for pulling bloodied fighters who can't keep up with thier dominant opponent.

    That said.....Bootaye T/KO8-11

Froch is gonna be beat to the jab and countered the first few rds, then in the mid rds he'll gain a sense of desperation then slip up and get dropped a few times by UCs to the body.

Then as he's protecting his ribs, Bute will swell and cut that face up and bust that nose and drop him again. The ref will stop it although Carl will still have his wits about him.:think

If Froch doesn't keep that guard up,and allows Bute to get that foot planted, those short lefts are going to hurt like very little he's felt before. This is one of the reasons I fear it may not be the ding-dong battle we hope it will, and I think the first few rounds could be very messy.
Everyone's talking about Bute's body punches, but from what I've seen, those short lefts are real sickeners. That's why Carl needs to get outside because I think he has more chance if Bute's throwing long from the left. For me,Froch's right hand is the key to victory.Mostly by keeping it up but I think Bute's effectiveness as a leftie means that successful feigning to land the cross is the way for him to score and hurt here. The left crosses will be coming thick and fast from Bute, but as I said earlier,if Froch rolls from these they're less damaging than the short lefts IMO.
Knowing Carl and his self-belief though,he'll rely on head movement and the hands will be closer to his feet than his head! He has to cut off the normal southpaw route, come out with a plan that will get Bute thinking AND working, because if Bute gets 4 of the first 6 rounds,I can't see him (Bute) slipping enough for Carl to get back in it.Bute is such a fluid southpaw I feel you have to think about his game almost more than your own and cut off all the normal leftie channels.
If it's as messy as I think it'll be early on,I think Carl should get a bit dirty and throw on the break just to let Lucian know he'll do whatever it takes.
Rob McCracken could do a lot worse than watch some of Judah's big defeats to see how a classic effective leftie can be beat.
Carl's own "in head" commentary seems to tell him he's in a permanent state of "3 rounds up" no matter what the damn score is!
With that, there can only be one prediction...
    Froch KO1!

It's going to be trench warfare and Bute is way out of all his comfort zones in this one.

    Big mistake coming to Nottingham.

    Froch TKO.

Very, very interesting fight. I guess i'd go for Bute on a close decision, the sight puts the cat amongst the pigeons though.

I watched the Carl Froch behind the ropes Doc and they showed alot of his camp, training and talking strategy and MCcracken gave Froch two pieces of advice and strategy that they were working on which i think will make for a very exciting fight but isn't beneficial for Froch at all if he plans on winning.

What about Boxing Girl? I didn't read her prediction. She can't make it Sunday. I mean, making her predictions after the fights could explain her fabulous record but why wouldn't she be wrong sometimes?:D

Thanks Laffie.I know some people think I really believe that this will be a very hard fought twelve rounder that could go either way,but you've got more chance of meeting me at the Calgary Pacific beach annual summer surf convention, right after Drozzy is exposed as a spy working for the North Korean Government who was finally exposed whilst residing in the inhospitable desert region of Thunder Bay than you have of me admitting that.
First round at the absolute latest!:bart
