1. No **** Sherlock. 2. As demonstrated by this thread. Made yourself look like a dick there haven't you Mr. Wordsmith. You're clearly not as good a writer as you think. Don't worry mate, any idiot can use a thesaurus. People who try and use these "really big words" are usually compensating for an unfounded, misguided viewpoint. In other words: the thread starter is talking shite.
Once again, Eubank is a coward for a boxer, in terms of furthering himself in his profession. I do not deem him a coward compared to a normal man, of course not.
How, exactly, have I got this thread wrong? Have you any evidence to say he will get anywhere other than the fact you are desperate for him to do so? That's what I thought. I haven't said anything untrue in regards to Jnr, and people are beginning to realise it. In regards to McEwan, there was a big movement on here from people believing that he had the stuff to become champ. I, as the voice of sanity, was laughed at. People that are not me tend to be, on the whole, pretty dumb.
What people? Anyone deciding after 4 fights that he will never win a British title is a ****ing idiot. We don't normally even see a fighters first 4 fights and what we can see from Eubank so far is a flawed, learning fighter who has fast hands, throws punches with decent technique and has okay footwork. He doesn't appear to hit that hard and his defence is not great. But he is learning. What is more significant to me, is to watch how he looked on the focus mitts a few years back....he was stiff as hell and looked very very amateurish. He improved leaps and bounds up to his amateur bouts and again if you watch these, you see marked progress within 6-9 months. That shows that he learns and that he is still a novice who has not been training properly for that long. He might do nothing, but saying you can tell off 4 bouts that he will never be good enough for a British title is nonsense. You could say that about a guy who in 4 fights swung wild slaps with no guard and got KOd in all 4 fights.
He's doing the old classic 'Throw some **** against the wall and see what sticks' routine. Any Eubank Jr **** up in the future and he'll be on here proclaiming his Nostradamus like abilities. He reminds me of that **** Zakman only with a different fetish.
That comparison would only be at all relevant if I said the same thing about multiple fighters at similar times. Have I done that?
So, you wouldn't be able to tell whether one of Eubank's opponents would be able to win the British title after their second fight? We see complete novice fighters all the time, we just don't pay that much attention because we've already sub-consciously assumed they won't make it anywhere unless they look hugely impressive. More often than not, you can spot someone's approximate glass ceiling VERY early on.
You would often be able to tell if a guy had no attributes yes. But for example if the fighter shows any promising skills or abilities and is a novice you would withhold judgement. Eubank clearly has some attributes, whether they will stand up to British title level remains to be seen. I find this type of obsessive hate very very odd. I get not liking a fighter and wanting to see them lose. I get thinking a past fighter is overrated and arguing the case. But with you, your hatred of Eubank Sr is more than that. You slate him with insults outside of boxing, denigrate every possible thing you can and now hate Eubank Jr simply for being his son. Unless something personal actually happened between you and him in real life, I find it weird.
Come on now, be fair, I don't think I've ever criticised Sr outside the context of boxing. I think he's hideously overrated and completely deluded, but fundamentally a good person and a top personality. I have time for Eubank Sr, the man. Jr, however, is just a punk. I make no bones about the fact I don't like him. It doesn't manifest itself with bias against him, but I don't like him. Also, Eubank has no noteworthy attributes whatsoever other than a calmness in the ring that fails to translate into ring intelligence. And a half-decent jab.
Jason Ball, for a third fight, was okay for the average prospect to fight. Harry Matthews was not. It would be nice for Jnr to fight someone that can actually throw a punch correctly (I'm not asking him to fight someone with power, even at a low level).
