I usually look at eyes because you can see where some fighters are going to hit because they are just looking for gaps, but i do have a whole range of vision so be looking at the chest and arms too
yeh ive been going for 2 weeks and they said you can try out some light sparring with a fairly newish boxer :hey
wish i had 2 weeks i got asked if id boxed before and i said ye but only at home like hittin the bag but i always watch it (due to the rest of the family being lovers of boxing) then he said do you want to spar so i said yes (this was on my first day) though the ova lad had only been boxing 4 a short period so it was far
why is everybody concentrating so much on the guys chest you want to hit him in the face so look were your gonna hit and you might just hit him. i guarrantee you if you look at the chest shoulders whatever youll miss more then if you look were your actually gonna hit. pleasse say some have the sense to do this.
Thats what i do, i don't really key off any particular area, you'll miss a lot doing that. Peripheral vision is key.
if you concentrate on there head u cant see ther feet so u cant tell whether the setting themselves or off balance
that my friend is called perphipual vision you can see the feet any way look at most top fighters they look at the face/eyes
I believe you should always watch their hands, they don;t hit you with their eyes, shoulder, chest or feet, they hit you with their hands!!!! atsch
