    Chris Mannix interviews Carl Froch:

"First off I want to give credit to Lucian Bute, because he hits hard. But obviously not hard enough, eh? Because he caught me good, but you see I'm tough. I can hold a shot.
    :deal

Who I really want to give credit to is my fans, they gave me the the surge to do this.

From the time I could see it in his eyes, see it in his legs - I'm an animal. I want to hurt him.

I got hit with shots I shouldn't have gotten hit with tonight, but if I hadn't you TV guys wouldn't have had as much to comment on so you should thank me for taking those shots."

    CARL A ****ING G!!!!!!!!! :happy

Ho Ho HO - What is this all about - Bute was up at 8, and Froch had left the neutral corner - therefore Bute is the WINNER..........:yikes:yikes:yikes:yikes

In any way, Bute will settle it down in the rematch........:bart:bart:bart:bart.

(Never had anything against Bute, but simply loved Andrade after he got raped in Canada......Time Collector, Cobra and Kessler------- true WARRIORS...!!!!!)

No, it wasn't. Not even close. :nono

Don't talk **** without knowing wtf you're talking about.

1575 replies. The crash accounted for maybe 200-300 lost replies, being generous (to give you some perspective, that is A LOT for an hour in the aftermath of even a big event). So it would have been 1,700-1,800 without the servers crashing at the end.

The #1, Mayweather vs. Cotto @ 2,293 replies, was still several hundred out of reach even if ESB hadn't crashed at all.

Besides, the very early start to this thread cancels out the crash. In reality if you take away the 28 or so pages (420 posts @ 15/pg) of random chatter from the morning/afternoon before the card started, this is more like a 1,300 reply thread than a 1,700 thread.

i don't know what to say. i'm at a loss for words. froch beating bute in a close fight that he edged or a ko towards the end after a close fight was a possible outcome i thought could happen.
bute seemed slow, weak, nervous. instead of fighting his usual fight, slow first 4 rounds learning his opponent, he came out in the 2nd and 3rd trying to brawl with froch. staying on the ropes trying to dodge punches instead of getting out of there. i just hope this was a HORRIBLE mistake that will be corrected in the rematch. his defense and footwork were almost nonexistent. he looked like a brawler more than a counterpuncher. in other fights he would let his opponents come to him the first 4-5 round with him loooking to counter. now he was going forward looking for a fight, and a fight he got. by the time he realised he made a mistake it was a bit too late.

i just did not see this coming. and no matter how optimistic, i don't think anybody truly expected to see what we just saw. there was no warning, expect maybe the last round of andrade 1 but that was due to exhaustion. i still can't get my head around it...

    Further clarification:

Even during Big Events, each round constitutes about 3 pages/45 posts.

So take away the 5th round KO and let it go to a 12 round decision, that's another 7 x 45 = 315 posts. Then maybe 100 or so during the reading & reaction to the scorecards. (a good deal more than average) Then another 100 for people's Final Thoughts. (again, a good deal more than average)

    So 515 +1575..

At a stretch, this was barely cracking the 2k mark.

Not coming close to touching Ring Kings at 2,293. :deal

Mother****ing Carl Froch, clearly the second best SMW after Ward. Froch's boxing skills are underrated

Just watched the fight, what a brutalizing. Bute better not go anywhere near Froch ever again, not in Canada nor in Romania or elsewhere.

I've been saying it for years. Bute was and is a fraud. A couple of days ago I said that Bute wouldn't have defeated a prime Kessler. LMAO, apparently I was being to generous, he wouldn't even be able to defeat this version of Kessler. Lol at the people thinking Bute was a better boxer than Kessler.

Laffie, flashy, insidious, vladimir.. where you at??? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Puts into perspective how solid Kessler was and still is. Still 2nd best after Ward. :deal
