We need more guys like Bute. He deifinitely didn't have to take this fight in Nottingham, especially with the notoriety he was gaining, also having the belt, and being a huge draw in Montreal. He did, and I wish other fighters would learn from that example (*coughWARDcough*)

Froch fought a hell of a fight and came out like a man possessed, while still maintaining a measure of calmness about it. This was the best Froch I've seen in awhile, and he showed tonight just how hard it actually is to win on another man's turf.

Bute does deserve credit, and it'd be foolish to write him off against the others yet. The measure of him is how he'll bounce back from this, and he's earned the chance to do it. Froch just wasn't to be denied and deserves all the credit.

I've loads more respect for Bute for going to Froch's back yard and getting whipped than those writing him off for taking a risk other hometown fighters refuse to.

This is one of those fights were I bet even Froch feels bad about beating Bute, Lucian is a true gentleman in and out of the ring and deserves all the respect in the world. I hate it when two genuine good guys are pinned against each other but that's the way boxing is sometimes. Congratulations to Froch as he once again proves that he should never be overlooked by these so called boxing experts. I hope Bute recovers and bounces back into the elite level of championship boxing.

Yep, he deserves credit for fighting away from home, putting on the line.

Bute started some rounds ok but he just got stupid I don't understand

Also he didn't seem to have the hunger of froch and was there for the taking from the second part of round 2 onwards

Don't realy understand why he didn't move more, and decided to stand toe to toe with Froch. That was his biggest mistake in this fight. When he was moveing there was no danger for him, as soon as he decided to trade punches with Froch he received HUGE punch combinations from Froch. His trainer should have told him to move more from the first round. Froch's strategy worked perfectly and Bute contributed to that BIG TIME. Oh well...
Now let's see if he can come back from this fight, and hope he won't make the same mistakes again...

Froch had a good game plan, made Bute move to where he wanted him to and let his hands go to work when he got him there. Bute can take a good shot (as well as give them) but not that many in accumulation. Great result for Froch.

All this "Bute is/was never world class" **** I've read on many forums is just pathetic. Froch fought a great fight, end of. Bute is a class fighter and I'm sure he will be back from this even better.

Good points, but seriously look at Froch's speed, he never looks fast really, he looks like he is looking to tie his shoe laces half the time. I think he is just one of those fighters, you watch them on film and you think you would easily beat the guy. I think facing him in the ring is just another experience to watching him fight, live or on TV.

ooh v-cash gone! That's hard lines mate. I stayed well away from it because i genuinely didn't have a clue.

Has for Bute yep respect to him for travelling but who knows what he'll be like now. He's got some rebuilding to do. That was a trouncing that could finish him at the top. Time will tell.
