I have been telling you people the truth about Bute for years!

Maybe now people will understand why Jenna and I had Bute ranked #4 at super middleweight and why we had Froch ranked at #2.

I think the one-sided display we witnessed today showed that we weren't haters, we were simply realists.

Bute finally faced a live body, and what happened? Froch beat the **** out of him. That's what!

All the credit in the world to The Cobra who exceeded even my lofty expectations.

He didn't just lose to the #2 guy, he was thoroughly outclassed and exposed big time.

Incidentally, I haven't reviewed the fight again yet, but in round 3, before The Cobra started kicking major arse, I recall Bute landing a solid 1-2. And Froch basically said, "**** THAT" and opened up a major can of whop-ass in what was undoubtedly a 10-8 round.

It's not even a matter of power, I don't think. Ward just knows how to time punches so that they are difficult to see. Not to toot my own horn, but I wrote many times here at ESB and over at Facebook to people that even if Bute does hit harder than Ward, they aren't the type of shots that will bother The Cobra in the same way. He will have an easier time anticipating them, which also means an easier time both avoiding and absorbing those types of shots.

But I agree that, fundamentally speaking, Ward's power is underrated. He was tearing Froch up with some nasty left hooks with textbook precision.


At the end of the day, The Cobra is a complete and total bad-ass!!!
