Of course Froch deserves credit! He exposed, once and for, this overrated hype job's glass jaw. And he did it in comprehensive fashion, putting him on ***** street early and basically working him over for four plus rounds.

But Froch's accomplishment doesn't erase the fact that Bute had obvious punch resistance problems that greatly contributed to his defeat.

There's a reason some fighters can stand up to 12 round beatings while others fail to make it that far. I don't understand why some fail to see that.

With that said, I don't glass Bute's jaw as glass. Glass just shatters when tapped ala Kirkland, whereas th likes of Bute can ostensibly take punches, but end up being badly hurt by the majority of them. I consider these to be 'wet papier mâché' chins.

I was a big fan of Lucian for many year. I took his side on this board, defending him. Now I have to agree with all the haters.

For all those year that I've a paid to go see him live or on TV. His was just a paper champ fighting B class fighters. Now you know why he never got invited to the Super6.

I feel like I've been cheated on...

After a defeat like that, there's no way he's gonna use his option for a rematch.

If you think about it, the super6 was a great thing for ex-paper champ Lucy.
Made tons of money while the elite fighters were beating each other.

    Great job Jean Bedard

It was a shocker to be fair, Froch sliced through him like butter and opponents haven't shown that low level of resistance since Froch was boxing at British level. Folk have often questioned Froch's power on a world level, but that's not to say he's not heavy handed, because he clearly is.

Let's not forget also where Froch was coming from, he got totally outclassed by Ward and was clearly walking into this fight doubting himself (which is more than understandable).

Froch's performance tonight was grade A, zero doubt, full credit to him. Even his promoter and girlfriend looked like they couldn't quite believe it at the end.

Listen, it was that fight that made me REALLY root to see Bute's glass jaw exposed. In ANY other venue, in ANY other town, that fight is waived off without a count. Here, the ****ing ref practically helps the knocked out guy get up off the canvas!!!! It was outrageous, to say the least.

Well, tonight, JUSTICE was served. What goes around, comes around!:yep

Agree 100%, ref should have let the fight go on so Froch could really land a few bombs and KO him ass completely!

Yeah, it was unfortunate that the ref and Bute's handlers deprived us of that conclusive finish.

No matter. That glass jaw still got badly exposed.

I knew my boy Forch was going to ice this dude. I called it. Bute fought absolutely nobody to suggest how he would do against Foch. He was hyped, not saying he didn't have skills... he does, but Froch is a different breed. I even had a dream Froch KO'd him against the ropes...

Damn I can't believe how fragile and weak Bute was. Props to Froch, he looked like Rocky Balboa in there.
