A lot of Bute fans never really gave fans of other fighters that much **** when Lucien scored victories over their favored boxers. At least I didn't, anyway. Fans of other fighters are much, much, much worse about dissing opponents of their heroes and denigrating their ability than fans of Bute tended to be over the years.

Anyway...I picked Bute to win. I was obviously terribly wrong to make that pick, in part because Bute 's punch resistance and defensive ability isn't quite as good as I had expected....And in part because Froch is a damned good fighter. So...Bute got mowed over down in brutal fashion. Bad for him...Good for Froch. However, I don't think Bute should be written off just yet, and perhaps this baptism by fire might serve him well in the end.

In the meantime, let's see what Froch can do against Kessler, the winner of Pascal-Cloud, or anyone he damned well would like to fight. He's earned the right to pick who he wants to face in the ring...especially given the perfornance he just produced. :good

 

I wish every boxing fan had your way of thinking. It makes me sick when people talk **** about a fighter when they are nothing but a great representative to the sport like Bute and Froch. Who cares about records and losses? Great fights is what I crave along with respect and fighters who are great sports.

Bute took a one sided beatdown like a man tonight,he was outclassed,outgunned and out muscled,but after the stoppage he was gracious in defeat.
His fans however seem to have a problem connecting to the internet since the loss. :rofl

 

No ones favorite fighter ever ended up on bute's resume. That was the problem.

Yesatsch if the fight was in Nottingham Froch would beat Ward lol Ward is just another level.
But great fight for Froch he will never revenge Ward loss but he should and i think he will fight Kessler and i think Froch beats him in rematch!

 

Feel like this thead deserves a bump. Easy to get caught up in the win and forget about the loser. Bute went out of his comfort zone as the favourite and belt holder and fought in his opponents back yard and lost valiantly imo.
All the best for Bute in future and hope he comes back better and strong.

Butes has been with the same team since he started. I also noticed his personal trainer is completely overweight. Either way he has some sharp skills but it seems his team has stagnated. Seems like its time to mix it up if he wants to make another go.

I respect Bute both for traveling, taking a dangerous fight in the other fighters hometown, and for his class in defeat.
