great post,i was a massive Hatton fan and paid lots to see him but Froch just keeps pulling rabbits from hats, when he hangs up his gloves im sure he will look back at the Taylor fight and find that his decisive fight that led to the legend that is Carl Froch.
Interesting question his resume does look good though, Key Wins Reid Pascal Bute Dirrell (Althought I felt he lost you can make a case for him beating Kessler) Abraham Johnson Taylor Losses Ward Kessler (Close fight could have gone either way) Achievements Super Six Runner Up 3 time SMW Champion As it stands right now its 50-50 maybe if he wins a title at 175 or defeats Kessler he should be a lock I have him ranked higher than Hatton and if Gatti makes it to the HOF Froch has to make it. One underrated factor about Froch is the fact that he beat 3 undefeated fighters and tend to fight guys in they own backyard just my 2 cents
The way he beat Bute tonight, I think he's only 3 fights away from having a real argument for it. The problem is, the 3 fights would be beating Kessler and Ward in rematches and winning a title at 175. A roundabout way would be beating Dawson decisively if Bad Chad beats SOG. The odds aren't in his favor, but hey, after a career-defining performance tonight, who am I to say he's not up to the task? He's closer now than I ever thought he'd be.
